Great staff, God food good selection of beer. Nice place to sit outside and people watch

It was good fish and chips. Don’t expect to take your food «a emporter,» because they don’t serve to go.

Si j’ai pu passer des moments sympathiques dans d’autres Léon de Bruxelles je né retiens rien de spécial concernant celui-​ci.

Well below average food in an actual decent location. This place really has to step up a couple of things; A) the quality of the food and B) the service. Both the food and the service were pretty bad. Ordered some fried fish and have had the mussels here, the fried fish was well below average and the mussels were just average. The beer and outdoor seating was cool but the service here was extremely slow and unfriendly. Overall, there are plenty of better dining options in the area.

Atrocious service! Firstly, as we walked into the restaurant we were greeted by the manger who grunted at us and nodded in the direction of a 4-​seater booth. Secondly, the same person came and forced French menus upon us (which was fine), but he did it in a manner that implied we were not entitled to any menu in any other language. Thirdly, the waiter came to take our order and was so rude that I can’t even fathom the words to describe it but he kept on shaking his head and muttering under his breath, in addition to speaking about us to the other waiters in French. As it was lunchtime we had only ordered 2 lunch menus and beers between 4 people. However, we were not aware that each person had to order a meal. It was a genuine mistake which could have been rectified by a mere polite comment to explain this. Instead, the waiter reacted in a disgusting way. We later asked to speak to the manager who was very dismissive and claimed ignorance to English. During this time, the starter of mixed salads for the 2 lunch menus had been served, yet the other 2 people hadn’t even placed an order. In the meantime, the manager repeatedly looked back at our table to give us dirty looks as we were still deciding what to order. At this point, we had had enough of the poor quality of the service and decided that we were only going to have the beers that we ordered and leave. Finally, after being allowed to speak to another manager, who had proper customer service, it was agreed that we could pay for the beers only and cancel any food ordered.

worst customer servoce EVER. it was so bad i walked away. They have zero tolerance for questions and the waiter walked off half way through a wuestion and rolled his eyes. NOT WORTH THE UNLIMITED FRIES with mussels.

We arrived at 10:30pm for an all you can eat Mussels for 20 € the served us 3 plates of Mussels and told us they couldn’t bring more because they were closing. At 11:45pm they seated two more people and served them. Bad service. Mussels not even that good anyways.

J’aime bien ce Léon de Bruxelles. :) Déjà j’aime beaucoup les moules-​frites, alors forcément en tant que restaurant spécialiste, il me plait déjà par sa carte. Il y a toutes sortes de recettes de moules en cocotte et aussi gratinées avec frites à volonté, et également en papillote ou à la plancha. :)
Pour ceux qui veulent essayer autre chose, on y trouve aussi des entrées à partager, des salades, des viandes, des poissons, des desserts (dont les classiques gaufres belges)… Et puis il y a différents menus plat+dessert (de 17 à 23 € environ).
Bref, vous avez du choix, pour des prix assez corrects avec de bonnes quantités.
Ah et évidemment, on peut accompagner tout ça avec une bonne bière (ils ont une cave variée, ainsi que des cocktails, apéritifs et autres).
Pour le service, rien à dire non plus, l’accueil est chaleureux et souriant. Il y a une belle salle en RDC et une en sous-​sol qui permettent de recevoir bcp de clients. Et les commandes sont apportées rapidement. C’est donc une bonne adresse pour aller déguster un repas copieux assez rapidement avant d’aller au cinéma juste à coté par exemple. ;)

Le menu traditionnelles moules frites est bon avec une mention spéciale pour leur glacé surtout le caramel beurre salé très très bon.
Arrivée vers 13h30 j’ai quasiment pas attendu et le service était rapide.

Got the menu for 11.90 euros with a salad, the house mussels, and the Belgian dessert mix. Portions were very large and delicious. Service was pretty quick, although my friends had some problems with communication with the server, who didn’t speak the best English. Cute décor.

Worst service and experience in Paris! Don’t eat here. I would give it a zero but that is not possible.
We ordered dessert and were given a cold shoulder treatment. After ordering we should have just walked out as we would have had a better experience going to the super market next door and buying a small thing of ice cream. We asked for water 3 separate times but it never showed up… Seriously this place is a joke. Service is awful, the food is so so.

Okay this place is not so spiffy but get this, I recommend it to everyone who likes mussels. I really wish they would swank up the place. The Sizzlers like atmosphere really kills it. These people produce very nice food. I got the a la planca style chorizo with mussels and it was yummy. Getting a meal under 20 euros in Paris that is filling is phenomenal.
Plus I discovered a new beer «Edelweiss». It was very light and like an adult soft drink. I lapped it up.
What I like about Leon’s is that they’re consistent. It’s been what it is for the last twenty years. When I had two francs to rub together the first time I visited Paris when I was nineteen, this place left an impression on me. Every year, I return to re-​experience it for two reasons. 1) I know what I’m going to get because they are consistent and 2) because it’s nostalgic of my youth frolicking about in Paris. Young and naïve. I was such a sweet idiot.

Je met 1 étoile parce qu’il faut bien commenter, alors je commence par le service. En arrivant personne né s est occupé de nous, pendant 10 min alors qu’il n y avait pas d attente pour une table Ensuite niveau plats c est vraiment pas terrible Mangeable quoi C est pas une adresse que je conseil.

Les prix ont augmenté et les
odeurs sont suspectes. Ça se dégrade

When I think of this place, I think of Michelle Obama’s arms: too many mussels.
My friend and I each got the muscle deal that comes with an appetizer, a bucket of mussels, and a dessert. It would’ve been worth the 20 euros a pop, if we were able to finish the food! In the end, we had about ½ a bucket each, left of mussels. There were just too many, despite tasting good. The both of us sort of don’t want to speak about the seafood again, but we had them until we were about to burst.
So, I recommend about 1 large bucket for 2 people. I mean, if you really do finish and want more, you can just order more, right? Sadly, what has been ordered, cannot be un-​ordered.

Très déçu
Service négligé, peu d’attention porté aux clients, bruyants. La nourriture était tout de même correcte. On est quand même très loin des autres Léon…

Yes, it is a chain. Yes, the menu has that cartoony chain quality.
But hey, the mussels are tasty, and that’s what matters. We got a bucket of their original mussels steamed in wine and butter. There was also some minced onions and parsley. The mussels and the sauce were delicious and plentiful, especially for the price. It came with some delicious bread and bland fries. We saved the bread to dip into the leftover sauce… so good.
We split the bucket between two of us, and we were still full. They also have delicious Belgian beer. The prices are very reasonable. The service was warm and efficient.

Décevant pour la chaîné !
J’ai comme pas mal de monde déja dejeuner dans différents resto de la chaine ou tout allait plutot bien: entre autres celui de Porte Maillot ou le service est vraiment à la hauteur. Mais celui d’opéra est une catastrophe, le serveur a coté de la plaque toujours en train de raler. Ils vous laisse en plan pendant 15 minutes à chaque fois et vous fait une tete terrible lorsque vous lui demander d’autre frites car celles qu’il vous a ramené était déja froide avant qu’elles n’arrivent sur la table. Fini Leon Opéra pour nous: un repas en famille gaché par un service pas au niveau. dommage.

Bön ce midi j’avais envie de moules-​frites en attendant les vacances. Je n’aime pas les chaînés de restaurant mais bon pour une fois, j’ai dérogé à mes principes. Arrivé vers 13h00, un peu d’attente mais acceptable vu l’heure. Traditionnelles moules frites, les moules ok frites un peu trop cuites, par contre j’avais annoncé que j’avais peu de temps pour manger et le service a été très rapide, et la serveuse bien aimable. conclusion, en attendant le bord de mer, c’est bien

Bad service!!! It’s my worst experience in Paris. We asked for tab water and waitress gave us a big bottle of water. Asked for plate, no plate, asked for ice, no ice. Asked for to go box, no to go box. We don’t know if the waitress pretended not understanding English or really didn’t know English at all, neither do the manager… not recommend to anyone.

The food is good, and the service is ok, but be careful to avoid being taken advantage of.
My partner and I visited Paris, and after a long tour, we were hungry as we walked around the Opera area. We saw a sign out front of this establishment that advertised steak frites for 9.99 Euros. We got a table and confirmed the price in the menu and placed our orders.
The food came, and it was tasty enough. I especially liked the herbed butter on the steak.
The surprise came when the waiter brought us our check. We were charged 15 Euros apiece for the steak frites dinners. We brought the discrepancy to our waiter’s attention. He said that the steak frites was not 9.99 as advertised both outside and in the menu. He was never able to explain why he charged us an additional 5 Euros (and it wasn’t the service charge; that was in addition to all this).
We ended up having to pay the extra. I guess it’s a pretty good racket to get into charging foreign tourists whatever price you feel like and counting on the language barrier to keep your pockets lined.
I will certainl avoid Léon de Bruxelles next time I’m in Paris.

Pas à la hauteur de la chaîné !
Connaissant bien l’enseigne, client du restaurant de cette chaîné à Eragny (95), j’ai été plutôt déçu de cet établissement proche de l’Opéra. La déception se fait surtout sur la prestation du service : — le serveur part en plein milieu de la prise de commande — 10 min d’attente pour avoir le poivre: finalement le poivrier est vide, encore 3 min pour recharger le poivre Les desserts restent chers par rapport au prix des plats. Plat mangeable mais sans délice particulière.

Comme dans tous les Léon, la carte est la même et c’est très bon.
La déco est sympa.
Mais le service est lennnnnttttttt… une horreur !
Et pourtant, ils n’étaient pas débordés !

Tout à fait correct pour un déjeuner rapide et pas cher
Certes, ce n’est pas de la grande cuisine, mais pour un déjeuner en semaine, j’ai été agréablement surpris: le cadre est chaleureux et animé, sans pour autant devoir manger coude à coude. La formule du midi offre un rapport qualité prix satisfaisant pour le quartier. Les produits servis (poisson pour ma part) étaient bien frais et goûteux. Bref, un bon plan pour un déjeuner entre collègues.
