Oh my word! So much happiness in this store! We happened across it by accident(it was on my list all the same) and I was thrilled with what I found! Indie dyed yarn in STUNNING colours and a shop keeper who was both kind and helpful. I highly recommend this little shop for your yarn needs.

The cutest little knitting supply store — where you go in for one thing — but end up getting some extra yarn, just because it is so soft and cuddly and… Well, you get the picture. The staff was superfriendly and spoke excellent English.

Super cute little yarn shop in a lovely covered way shopping street. The owner was friendly and helpful. The selection of yarn is mostly solid colors, some hand-paints. I didn’t really see anything that I desired strongly. I went in hoping for interesting European yarns, but everything I saw was available(and cheaper) at my own LYS back in America. They have ribbons and patterns, too.

Hands down the best knitting supplies shop in Paris. Their wall of color is heaven on earth. The hues are just gorgeous and everything is so damn buttery and soft, you just want to snuggle into one of those cubby holes and call it a day. I have only been knitting for a year so I know like 1% about the craft but when I go here I don’t feel like a total idiot. The saleswomen do a good job helping people from all levels, and explain things so that you actually understand, not throwing out a bunch of terms that go right over your head. Right now I’m totally obsessed with the Malabriogo Peruvian small batch hand-dyed yarn that they carry here. I already made myself a scarf with it(first scarf ever, woopwoop) and quickly went back to pick up some more the day after I completed it. When I told the woman that I had completed my first wearable project, she was genuinely proud of me. I love that.

This is a cute store that I discovered by accident while wandering around the neighborhood. It is mostly a knitting store and I am a sewer, so I can’t comment on the prices of the yarn. However, what they had was quite lovely. They carry a small but good selection of boutique sewing patterns such as Colette, Oliver and S., and Amy Butler. They also carry a small selection of fabric, and a large number of prefab kits which contain everything that you need to complete a specific project. The owner is very friendly and helpful and it has a nice ambiance.

Lil Weasel is located in the charming Passage du Grand Cerf, one of Paris’ many covered passages. This lovely store carries a wide variety of yarn, books, fabrics, ribbon, buttons and knitting/crochet notions. They carry Anny Blatt, Cascade, Katia, Buton D’or, Malabrigo, and Debbie Bliss, to name a few. I love how the store organizes their yarn by colorway instead of by brand. If they don’t have exactly what you want in stock, the ladies who work there are super nice and will place an order for you. From 10:30AM until 7PM, Tuesday through Saturday, the shop welcomes people to come knit, read, crochet, or just chat on their comfy chairs and sofa. The little shop also has a «carte de fidélité» or loyalty card: After making 10 purchases in the store, you’ll receive a voucher for 10% of the amount you’ve spent in the store! For beginners and even the advanced, the store provides workshops and classes for couture, knitting, and finishing, as well as knitting classes for children. For those who aren’t sure what to make, the store also offers prepackaged kits with yarn and pattern. This little store is a refreshing change from lining up with the masses at La Droguerie, plus I can definitely find what I’m looking for(if not more).
