Petit salon de coiffure dans le quartier de Saint Lazare. Pratique pour se faire couper les cheveux à la pause déjeuner. La gérante est très sympathique.

When I travel, I like to get my haircut. I’m not big into souvenirs, so it’s a fun way of «taking something home with you.» My last haircut was in Anchorage, Alaska in August, so it was definitely time.
My hotel recommended this place. When I went by, la madame was with a friend, whom she bade farewell so she could cut my hair. I really just wanted a cut, but I think, even if they list just a cut on the «menu» — j’avais dit une coupe — shampooing and brushing are assumed to go with unless you are very explicit. Instead of 20 Euros, it was 40, but I wasn’t in a mood to care — I am on vacation.
Sabine was super nice, and we had a very pleasant exchange while she did my hair. We talked about movies, different countries & cultures, where she’d like to retire, etc. — super bonne expérience.
I told her I like my hair long, but the ends needed trimming, and otherwise, I entrusted her to make me look «belle.» She layered it a bit more than I’m used to — I almost worried she was cutting my hair too short, but I didn’t say anything, and I’m glad I put my trust in her. My hair came out great.
Sabine worried about the rain ruining the work she’d done, and even offered to walk me back to my place with an umbrella, but it wasn’t necessary — I had a scarf and a hood. She suggested I might go on a date tonight, and it would be nice to have my hair intact for the occasion — in case I meet the man of my dreams or something. I said I might not like a guy who judges me for my hair, but she smartly replied that you have to make an initial judgement based on something… but that if that’s all he cares about later on, then of course, laisse tomber.
En tout cas, c’était trés agréeable, and I would definitely recommend going here if you’re in the area and need a cut.

L’esthéticienne est minutieuse et à l’écoute.
Je suis repartie avec pleins d’échantillons et de conseils. Depuis j’ai adopté les produits Ella Baché!
Pour celles qui ont envie d’un moment calme sachez quand même que l’ambiance n’était pas à a la détente mais plutôt aux papotages.
Ceci dit je n’y suis allée qu’une fois! Mais j’y retournerai c’est sur!
