There are few things in life as irresistible as a good consignment shop. Even sexier, a consignment shop with quality vintage goods.
That is why my legs literally walked themselves into this shop after my eyes first spotted it.
While I scoured the racks I discovered soft silks, plush cashmeres, velvets and leathers from a lovely range of high-​end brands (Prada, Martine Sitbon, Lanvin, Kenzo) but at relatively reasonable rates. They were nice, but not exactly what I’m craving in my closet right now.
It wasn’t until I spotted a gorgeous 80s khaki-​colored shearling coat — a dead ringer for a coat my mom wore when I was a kid — that I perked up. At 75E it was a steal. I tried it on and got some positive remarks from the engaged sales ladies that work there and snatched it up.
It was only at home that I realized that it needs a really good cleaning that will likely cost me the price of the coat. Even at 150E the coat is a great deal, I just wish that the saleswomen would have been more honest with me about the condition.
So, if you do go here, which I still think you should, make sure to give the clothes a thorough examination before you buy.
