When in a pinch, Merci Jérôme will do. What you first notice is the friendly staff, always eager to get you started with a tray(if you’re eating in) or paper bag(for takeaway). Much more reasonable than other take away places in the area, Merci Jérôme also has a small selection of cheese and a bread roll for your post-prandial snack. The food, while not always incredibly fresh(the ham and cheese pasta could have been a day old and the iceberg lettuce in the packaged Caesar salad was beginning to brown), can be flavorful. For a safe bet, go with the sandwich or quinoa salad and dessert. Or, if you’re craving a quiche, there’s that option: lots of cheese quiches and the occasional one that’s less fatty(though the salmon-broccoli was dry and lacked flavor). If you do choose to eat in, you can reheat your meal in the microwave oven before heading upstairs where there is(slightly) more space. Be prepared to be distracted, though: the quirky pink décor, flashy(but silent) TV and magazines on display don’t lend themselves to a calm dining experience.

We love this place! Came every morning after our run and grabbed some coffee. Staff is friendly, quick in and out place, and the pink décor is pretty funny. Great little stop off.

Merci Jérôme has really cute branding — when your main color is magenta and your logo is a man in a beret with his tongue out, it has to be a fun place. so i ate here for lunch to see what it is all about! the inside is great, lots of fun signage and pink/white checkered tables. the men behind the counter all wear pink aprons and berets. exciting! food-wise, they offer sandwiches, quiches and pre made warm pasta type of meals, nothing mind blowing. the food was average tasting, just ok. also, i was one of the only people there who didn’t have a child with them. lots of children in this place!!! maybe i’m used to brightly colored fun places around NYC for childish adults, but I’m beginning to see that in paris, no adults hang out in brightly colored places with cheeky branding. i felt like i had to have a child with me in there! and then i felt silly. that being said, i’m sure if you brought a kid here, the design and colors are great and they probably won’t care the food isn’t amazing because it’s fun to sit in there.
