I’ve been to quite a few Minelli locations around the city; this is not my favorite. It can get very crowded, and the staff seems a bit frazzled as a result. There aren’t many places to sit and try on shoes. That being said, they have a better selection than, say, the one just down the street on Boulevard St. Michel which is really small and limited(but empty!) I did notice a salesguy going the extra mile with another shopper to make sure her purchase was perfect, by upselling her some pads to stick on the soles so they wouldn’t slip, and then actually applying the pads for her. In terms of the brand: mixed reviews. My first shopping spree at a Minelli last winter(Champs d’Elysée location, for those who are wondering) yielded 2 great pairs of boots, but I easily could have bought 5, they were all so chic and French and gorgeous. There is only so much I can fit in my luggage, you know! I was itching to go back, and did so in March, but thought their spring selection(mostly pumps and sandals) was unimpressive and even a bit cheesy compared to the boots. I bought one pair of ankle boots(last of the season?) and while they are super comfy and remind me of Paris, they are nowhere near as fab as the über-sexy high heeled, crêpe soled, knee length ones I bought last year.
