The best part of the meal was the bread, the club sandwich at 15 euros had processed chicken in it and way too much Mayo, the coffee at 4 euros tasteless and the croque Madame was way too soggy. An expensive mistake.

Nice décor on second floor especially. Maybe a great place for a drink but for lunch it’s really just okay.

Staying in La Marais at an AirBnB apt, we stumbled across this place mid-week for dinner around 7pm. They seated us promptly as they were barely a quarter full. The kid decided to get the escargot, her first time ever. Our friendly waiter came over to show her how to use the little fork and ‘claw’ to pull the snail from the shell. The wife and I both got French onion soup and it was very good. I can’t remember our main entrees, but we agreed they were very good overall. While I got a double espresso for desert, the wife got the molten chocolate cake which was very good. Very good food with very good service at a very good price.

There’s nothing truly objectionable about this place but it struck me as a bit«meh,» perhaps because there are a host of viable alternatives within shouting distance. The lunch deal isn’t bad(14 euros for the special and a café gourmand), but the veal wasn’t particularly flavorful and the mashed potatoes felt microwaved. On the whole, the menu is neither here nor there — a few French classics combined with disgustingly trendy items. Burger this, wok that… The waitstaff consists of several waif-ish model-types who flounce around waiting to be discovered, all the while avoiding eye contact and muttering«ça marche» when you’ve asked for water the third time. The décor on your trip upstairs to the bathroom is this place’s strongest suit.

Happened upon Minimes while walking around Le Marais and was very happy about it! Great vibe and ambience, made even better by the great food. Delicious caesar salad, and they also have«café glacé”-which I assumed to be plain iced coffee but was actually a sweetened iced latte. Delicious!

We had reservations for lunch at Café Minimes. The servers were very sweet & sat us by the windows. The food is very good. We had the Chicken Supreme, it was juicy & tender. For desert, the homemade pie with raspberries was divine but the choclate mouse was even better! Great service, good food.

Great little restaurant with a more modern décor than all the brasseries on the street. Great service from the waitress whom had only been working for 2 days. I tried the tuna tartare, penne pasta and the duck. The French really know how to do tartare right. Perfect texture and seasoned just enough. The penne was a very simple pasta with a light tomato sauce. It was a little sharp, but with the supplied Parmesan cheese, it mellowed the flavored out. Very yummy. The duck was also really good. Maybe could be a little more tender.

It was a late, rainy Wednesday night and we were tired of walking around the Marais. We were also hungry and far away from our hotel. The Café des Musées, which is my tried and true restaurant in Paris was packed and I was feeling cranky and feeling very unsure of my French. Didn’t want to deal with any type of complication. So we opted to try Aux Minimes. We were greeted by this lovely, lovely hostess who completely disarmed me and charmed me and talked me off the ledge. The restaurant was fully booked; but she found a table for us in a corner. Sure enough, five minutes later, the place was packed. We had wonderful liver appetizers. I drank a few glasses of wine and we ordered an entrecôte and a braised lamb shank that were perfectly cooked. We were so happy, we even had dessert. Bad, bad fat people we are. I wish I could give a more detailed review of the food; but in all honesty, all I can remember is that it was all very good. The service was impeccable. A bit pricey; but well worth it.
