Présence de cafard !!
Pendant notre repas sympathique un gros cafard monte sur le bras de mon copain.
Nous l’avons signalé au serveur qui nous a dit de né pas s’inquieter (qu’il l’écrasera).et nous a changé de place, la nous levons les yeux sur le plafond. un autre gros cafard !!
Bref.nous avons demandé a emporter le reste de notre repas et l’addition.
Trés déçu d’avoir croiser le chemin des bestioles car la nourriture était bonne.

Don’t t go for the décor or the Terrible service… but the Duck is pretty good especially the one with black mushrooms, and make sure you don t get the crispy noodle but order the soft noodles
they do have a huge menu …
I will try again !

Équipe de service agressive, note fantaisiste, nourriture relativement bonne. Restaurant touristique qui n’a pas besoin de fidéliser la clientèle. Pas à la hauteur de la légende qui l’entoure.

Yes! Michelin star rated noodles!
That’s right. In the land of Michelin stars, you can find a tiny Chinese spot right smack in the middle of Saint Germain/​Latin Quarter. And you don’t have to go through all those tourist traps they have in Latin Quarter. Cool, right?
Pro: food! Noodles! BBQ meat!
I’ve been here about a dozen time on my several trips to Paris. Their noodles always remain consistently good. I’ve tried the other dishes like fried rice, noodles, hot and sour soup, chicken dishes and so on too. They were a ok. Roast duck is pretty good. Wontons are delish! What’s not to love about a bowl of soup with noodles, meat and wontons!
Con: Not really a con but this is Paris! Portion sizes are small. I’m ok with that. The tables are half smaller than their portions. That could be a problem. In order for you to get in to that wall side: they have to pull out the whole table. And if you are lucky, you will be on your neighbor’s lap. Why is that lucky? I’m small! it’s better than having someone else on my lap! And if they are wearing big coats during winter time? You are royally screwed!
Again, this is Paris! Most places close early for food. Most places don’t serve food after 9 pm in this area. 10 pm at the latest but that is if you are lucky. Sure, you can go to the take out spots and get noodles on the streets! Or eat those delish crepes and falafels. But gotta appreciate the sit down noodle option too. Because I tend to roam around the streets of Paris and forget the time. By the time I’m hungry, almost everything I want stop serving. I will be back again next time I’m in town.

We went here after the louvre and it hit the spot! Roasted duck is a must and the pork dumplings. Quick service too.

I can only speak for the noodles with shrimp wontons, but they were legit. I’m taking a star because there was no evident option to add some greens. The place is bare bones on the décor, but it seems to have nothing to hide. It makes good noodles. I would eat and recommend this restaurant.

My family and friends have been enjoying their affordable, flavorful and homemade shrimp dumpling soups with or without noodles for years. If you were to request the shrimp dumpling soups without noodles, you will have more shrimp dumplings. Nevertheless, the dish is more filling with the delicious noddles. This is by far our favorite dish here.
We also enjoyed their lacquered roast duck soup with noodles. I prefer this one to the pork soup.
As an indulgent dessert, the almond tofu with the fruit salad is good.
The service is fast and friendly. The owner of the place greeted us regulary. He initially thought we were living in the neighborhood because we were coming so often…

When you walk pass the restaurant, you will see roasted duck soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork … hanging on window display, you know you wanna give it a try.
As a Chinese, if you are craving for Chinese food during your Paris trip, come here and eat, you won’t be disappointed. I love the food, a bit on the pricy side. However, good Chinese food is Paris to fill your empty stomach. I really won’t complain about it.
I had roasted duck, stir fry Chinese broccoli, plus salt n pepper shrimp. Everything I had was tasty. Yummy. I even recommend my friends visit this place when they go to Paris.
The waiters speak Cantonese. Really cool. Feel like «home».

Très déçue de l’endroit.
L’accueil n’est pas très chaleureux, le service néanmoins rapide.
Né prenez surtout pas des nouilles croustillantes, en réalité elles sont crues et frites, c’est immangeable.
Les souples sont sûrement un meilleur choix.
Le prix est élevé pour ce que c’est.

Overpriced for slightly above decent Chinese food.
I got the shrimp dumpling noodle soup and the noodles were good and so were the shrimp dumplings. They served it with this weird sour tasting sauce, kinda like sweet and sour sauce, but a little more thick and more red. It tasted like the sauce that you use to dip duck into. Anyways, sauce aside, the actual dish was okay. The soup had no flavor though. It was not done well at all. The dumplings were pretty good. Although, they fool you into thinking that it is shrimp. It’s actually fish paste with small amount of shrimp. Lies. I can’t believe I paid 10 euros for that! It was tiny. I don’t know who they’re kidding, but nowhere in China would they ever serve such a small bowl of noodle soup. But, I suppose we are in France. Everything is small here. Doesn’t mean they can rip you off like that though! Would have paid at most 6 euros if I knew it was such a small bowl. Everyone around me had rice dishes (none of them Asian, should have known).
All dishes (except appetizers) range from 10 – 15 euros. Small portions. The fried rice and duck dish looked good (for 14 euros!)
I have yet to find a really good, authentic, and affordable Chinese restaurant in Paris, but the search continues. As for my recommendation, it would be best to keep the money you would spend here and put it into a savings account for a trip to China, or even Southern California.

Really great little change of pace. Small but crowded with people at lunch. I can’t really say anything bad at all. For the price it is a bargain with really good good. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a break from French food.

Received a tip from a local that said all Chinese tourists visit here for authentic food. Service was super fast and the staff attentive.
The shrimp dumpling soup was amazing. Make sure you order it without noodles. You’ll get more dumplings.
I also ordered the roasted duck with mushrooms. Not sure what kind of mushrooms they were but the flavor was amazing, the duck super juicy and cooked really well.
The only slight miss was that they brought me white rice when I asked for brown. However, I don’t think they have brown rice. May have been a lost in translation moment.
Overall, if you like eastern cuisine in Europe this is a good spot.

Un peu déçu. Je m’attendais à retrouver l’ambiance typique que j’ai connu dans les restaurants n Asie (j’ai vécu en Chine), sur recommandation d’amis.
Je né peux pas dire que c’était mauvais, mais c’est loin d’être l’adresse à recommander pour manger des plats typiquement chinois et gouter aux magnifiques saveurs de la Chine.
En plus l’acceuil n’est pas génial…

Dans le quartier de St Michel au cœur des attrapes touristes il n’y a hélas pas beaucoup d’endroits où se régaler!
Travaillant hélas à côté, quand j’ai des folles envies de cuisine asiat (ce qui arrive souvent) je me tourne vers Mirama plutôt qu’un traiteur suspect. Certes ce n’est pas le meilleur restau asiat où j’ai mangé et c’est très bruyant mais ça reste correct.
J’aime bien leur porc laqué et les soupes donc c’est une cantine intéressante dans le coin.

The shrimp noodles soup is my favorite, the salt and pepper chicken is good. Clean and authentic Chinese food for decent prices.

I am really on the fence between 3 and 4 stars for Mirama. I don’t think I am quite a ‘fan’, but I also think their food is above average. The difficult part is trying to get over how expensive it is. I know it’s Paris, and I know it is located in a touristy spot… but it’s one of these restaurants where you feel like you are being nickeled and dimed, no matter what you order, your check will still surprise you a bit.
We were in the last part of our recent Europe (Prague /​Paris) trip and I was madly craving good Asian food (more than a week without rice for a Chinese girl = no good). We had a REALLY terrible Chinese food experience in Prague a couple of nights prior that left me craving for good Chinese food that much more. So when I saw Mirama (the beautiful view of that classic «BBQ ducks hanging = great authentic Chinese food»… and a quick Unilocaling) totally convinced me to stop whatever we were doing and go grab a table.
We walked in actually 10 min before they officially open that day (I didn’t realize that at the time) and the staff were still all sitting at a table, eating lunch lol. I asked if they were open and one of the servers directed us to a two top. We opted for a simple light meal of pork wonton noodle soup and beef with Chinese mushroom, two cups of hot tea and a bowl of rice.
The wonton noodle soup was pretty tasty. Not the best I’ve ever had and certainly not the worst. The beef dish was a little disappointing because I was really expecting the beef to be really tender and it wasn’t. Though it was still tasty and was great on rice. The portion was pretty small and of course, the tea and steamed rice are all extra charges. I suppose that is the norm in Paris. So yeah, above average food and kinda pricey. 3.5 stars tilting more to 4 since the food is above average and my complaint about pricing, well, I think that is probably just the norm for Paris.

La meilleure cantine chinoise !
Ce n’est pas faute de me rendre en Asie de manière récurrente, la meilleure soupe de raviolis aux crevettes, c’est bien au Mirama qu’on la trouvera. Idem pour les viandes laquées devant lesquelles on passé en entrant dans le restaurant. Hygièné et fraîcheur des produits au rdv. Oubliez les courbettes et le décorum, l’accueil est un peu brutal mais pas méchant et la promesse de vous régaler sera tenue. Mon QG pour commencer une journée pédestre ou culturelle dans Paris.

Je les connais depuis que j’ai 10 ans (j’en ai 33 aujourd’hui)… Même si le lieu a évolué et sa clientèle aussi…
Ça reste à mes yeux l’une de mes adresses référence pour manger chinois. Mes plats préférés/​recommandations… La soupe de raviolis aux crevettes, les crevettes sel et poivre, les nouilles sautées (molles) au boeuf, le porc laqué et le riz cantonnais.
Même mon homme est devenu l’un de leurs fidèles.
Tout est fait minute. A la commande. Ayant tous deux l’estomac fragile, on n’a jamais eu de souci.
Je prends essentiellement à emporter. Le restaurant pouvant être bruyant quand il est victime de son succès.

This should be 3.5 but 4 is too generous. It deserves 3 for quality of food, but the head waitress was excellent and friendly.
Dumplings /​char Siew (sweet BBQ meats) nothing to shout about.
Have had better teochew duck before.
Stir fried veggies were excellent.
Overall for € 20 per pax, is pricey for Chinese food, but if you have cravings in Paris this will do.

Très bon restaurant chinois. Lieu fonctionnel, service efficace et rapide pour une très bonne cuisine à des très prix correspond au quartier. Pas bon marché sans être excessif. Ouvert non stop, pratique.

déçu de ce restaurant … la nourriture est pas mal, mais mon plat est sorti un peu froid, et l’addition complètement faux.
Je pense que je sais très bien ce que j’avais demandé comme plat, poulet avec des légumes (10 euros) et non le canard avec des légumes (13,25 euros), et elle m’avait chargé deux riz et la serveuse juré que je avait commandé le canard m’a même montré les commandes qu’elle avait écrites comme je comprends chinois. bien. J’ai quitté restanrante payant plus et avec un sentiment d’avoir été triché. :(

Don’t come here.
We were dismissively seated, dismissively served, and dismissively rushed out of the restaurant.
Ordered the duck, shrimp with ginger and green onion, bean curd with shrimp, and fried squid.
No complaints about the duck.
Shrimp with ginger was good. Chock full of good ol MSG. Not a very big portion size, however, for what you pay. Bean curd was okay. Squid was tasteless, even though the menu said it’s seasoned with salt and pepper. I practically used all the table salt to get some flavor.
You have to pay for rice. (Not surprised, but an authentic Chinese resto wouldn’t charge for this. They really cater to foreign and unsuspecting palettes)
It’s expensive for what you get, in my opinion. The duck admittedly is a good deal but everything else doesn’t seem worth it.
All in all, I got really sick after eating here and that negates any merit this place would have had in my book.

I suppose I should have seen it coming considering how unlikely it was. Over the course of my travels, I’ve found some unusual parallels. My favorite turkish kebab? Australia. Favorite Italian? Belgium. Best Pizza? Germany. Devine Sushi? Colorado. Amazing steak? China. These cultural culinary reflections are what makes travel worth it, and I’m pleased to say that without a doubt my most memorable meal during a recent trip to Paris was the Chinese food at Mirama.
Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere?
What a brilliant blend of contemporary Chinese and unique Parisian flair. Tucked away in a nondescript spot on rue St Jacques, Mirama is minimalist, clean and equipped with a fantastically friendly and multilingual fleet of servers and chefs. Your food will come out quick, and it’s a great place to just sit back and soak in the day. Star Granted.
Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost?
I’ll be honest, I don’t recall exactly how much my Nouilles Sautées au Porc Laque was, but I remember it being extremely reasonable. Have a look —

Stars 3 and 4: How was the food?
Devine! I’ve had Peking duck before (in Beijing no less), but the blend of this brilliantly cooked duck with crispy fresh cooked noodles was out of this world. Bursting with flavor, I was truly blown away at the quality of this dish. I honestly have nothing more to say, but know that this was amazing. Dual Stars Granted.
Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could?
Yes. Yes I could. There’s no doubt about it. Star Granted.

Leur soupe de nouille en entrée avec les raviolis est bonne mais pas non plus sensationnelle.
J’ai trouvé leur canard laqué vraiment très bon, mais c’est dommage qu’il soit arrivé un peu tiède.
Quant à leurs travers de porc grillés, ils sont bien épicés et gouteux, accompagnés de légumes sautés.
J’ai également goûté un peu de leur riz cantonnais que j’ai trouvé vraiment trop gras, quelques bouchées de plus m’auraient complètement calée.
Pour finir, leur glacé à la mandarine était bonne (comptez un peu plus de 4E, et je doute que ça soit fait maison). A deux reprises ils n’en avaient plus, ce qui j’imagine doit confirmer un certain succès du dessert.
Dans l’ensemble j’ai bien mangé, mais on est à l’étroit.
Il y a pas mal d’attente et les serveurs né sont ni aimables ni désagréables.
Quand je peux, j’évite la salle en bas où je né m’y sens pas très bien (ce doit être les stalactites au plafond qui me mettent mal).

Seriously, though, you have no reason to go here. Non-​existent service. Cold atmosphere. Bland food. I wonder why this is considered a standard-​bearer for Chinese food in Paris, but then I remember that Parisian tastebuds have been destroyed by years of smokes and bad coffee. Ugh.

Franchement déçue. Par tout sauf par la viande. J’étais venue avec ma sœur pour goûter leur fameux canard. Arrivées là bas, nous entrons dans le restaurant, je lance un «bonjour» enjoué et poli, la seule réponse que j’ai eu fut un regard de tueur de la part de l’homme derrière le «bar». Bref. On est placé, grosse galère pour s’asseoir, tout est hyper serré, en passant entre deux tables j’ai posé mes fesses dans une assiettes (et pourtant elles né sont pas bien grosses mes fesses.) bref, on était morte de faim, donc on commande, problème: plus de canard. Donc nous avons toutes les deux pris des nouilles sautées. L’une au bœuf, et moi au poulet. Quelle déception ce fut lorsque j’ai littéralement croqué dans les pâte, le bruit des pâtes qui craquent a raisonné dans tout le restaurant. J’avais l’impression de manger un ramen pas cuit de franprix. Je sentais que ça me faisait gonfler le ventre et c’était pas franchement agréable. CELA DIT, le poulet était juste parfait, bien cuit et la sauce était délicieuse. Mais bon, trois morceaux de poulet pour me rassasier, c’était pas gagné. Nous n’avons rien mangé et nous sommes parties, déçues. Arrivées à la maison nous avons fait des coquillettes au fromage.
Bref, une très grosse déception, je n’y retournerais plus et je né le conseille à personne.

C’est de la bonne cuisine chinoise, quand on mange souvent asiatique, je né pense pas qu’on peut dire le contraire mais je n’ai bien sur pas goûter toute la carte. J’ai pris la soupe raviolis aux crevette, j’ai goûté une crevette sel et poivre et j’ai pris un brocolis sauté à la sauce d’huitre.
Tout était vraiment bon. Cependant, la soupe manquait de goût, ça m’a un peu déçu
Question quantité, c’est correct mais pas exceptionnel.
En revanche, là où je rejoins tous le monde c’est concernant l’amabilité. Des serveurs très peu disponible et un service parfois un peu long.
Mais je pense sincèrement y retourner pour goûter d’autres plats.

Sublime porc laqué qui fait oublier le service un peu froid et chinois (dans le sens efficace et sans chichis) mais toutefois très rapide, ainsi que le cadre trop confiné à mon goût.

UGH, I MISS THE DUCK FROM MIRAMA PLACE SO MUCH!!! During my year-​long study abroad stay in Paris this became THE place to get the best roasted duck in Paris. The duck is perfectly cooked, not dry at all. Get the roasted duck with rice which is the same price as just the duck.
Another thing that I highly recommend is their soupe de nouilles au porc laquée. The pork is so flavorful, the broth is so good, and the noodles are also cooked to perfection.
It is not the cheapest place to eat Chinese food in Paris but it is considerably cheaper than French restaurants or many restaurants in the 5^th arrondissement. Do yourself a favor and visit Mirama when you come to Paris and if you live in Paris, first of all I’m very jealous and second you have no excuses. You’re guaranteed a great meal for under 25 euros per person (which in Paris is a very good thing).

My review is based on my take-​away experience.
We invited some people over for Christmas dinner so as a treat, my mother added Duck, Fried Rice, and Cashew Chicken from Mirama to the menu.
They’re open Christmas Day (I think this fact is a worldwide thing).
When I went to go pick up our food, it was jam packed. As I waited, I stood and stared at the soup and poultry stations at the front of the restaurant — a very relaxing experience somehow …
The Fried Rice was delish ! ! Not greasy at all.
Both the duck and chicken were good as well, but … the Fried Rice … I wouldn’t even mind having some now !
I’m a fan.
The next time I’m in Paris, I would love to experience dining-​in.

During my stay in Paris, I have had the chance to eat Chinese style duck at a few places. Im a big fan of roasted duck, or «canard laqué» as it is known in France. SO it means says a lot when I say that this place, by far, has the best duck I have ever had.
I remember coming in here by total accident and thinking ok, this place is kinda expensive. But something about the hanging ducks in the window made me think that it may be worth it. At least I knew that it was fresh right?
I ordered the canard laqué and the shrimp wonton soup. Like I mentioned earlier, the duck it perfectly done. Its is well cooked but not to the point that the meat is dry. The wonton soup is very flavorful. It is perfect choice during the Parisian winters.
This place gets a 5 because it is really that good. Yes, it is more expensive than what I would like to spend over lunch and dinner, but it really is worth it. And besides, it is still cheap compared to other comparable restaurants in Paris and much better.
Bön appe-​shut the hell up!

I went here on Chinese New Year and was able to snag a table in the back after a short ten minute wait. I ordered my favorite dishes of salt and pepper shrimp and corn, egg drop and chicken soup. Both were very tasty. The only negative was that the shrimp was «frenchified» (as my next-​table-​over companion termed it). It was shelled instead of being served with the skin on. But the seasoning was perfect and it had the perfect lightly crisp fry to it. So I guess I can forgive them for frenchifiying it (and hey I did not have to figure out the best way to not look like an undignified American by eating with my hands).
It is also on one of those weird streets in Paris that changes it’s name. Basically if you’re near the river walk away from it for about three blocks or so and it magically changes its name to rue Saint Jacques.

Enfin, j’y suis allé ! Puisque le canard laqué est leur spécialité, je l’ai commandé. Bön, c’est sur que ce n’est pas le canard que servirait Monsieur Ping !!! Celui de Mirama, c’est du canard de batterie et baignant dans de l’huile hydrogénée, ce n’est pas terrible pour les artères !
Mais, ma foi, à 12 EUR, il n’est pas mauvais du tout, ce canard !!! Ah ! Ici aussi, le bol de riz blanc (plutôt gris que blanc d’ailleurs) est payant (2,30EUR); en Chine on né paye pas le bol de riz !
service rapide mais j’y suis allé en plein milieu de l’après-midi ce qui me fait remarquer que le restaurant est ouvert de midi à 23 heures sans interruption. (tous les jours).
Comme il fallait s’y attendre, la caissière est fort désagréable !

Bön, à la base, j’aime pas la cuisine chinoise. Ça, c’est dit.
Et ce n’est pas faute d’avoir essayé: du fait maison, de la gastronomie, des mets très fins, rien n’y fait, je n’accroche pas. Quelque chose qui me dérange avec le glutamat et les saveurs prédominantes dans cette cuisine, je n’aime pas le porc non plus donc ça n’aide pas.
Quoiqu’il en soit j’ai vécu 1 an et demi juste au dessus de ce restaurant donc j’ai pu y aller 2 fois. Et pourtant la 1ère fois n’avait pas été concluante. Je m’étais sentie assez mal après mon poulet aux noix de cajou (trop du dit glutamat). Mais j’ai redonné sa chance à l’endroit.
La salle est assez simple, pas de motifs à dragons ou de petit chat doré cheap acheté à Belleville, juste des canards laqués qui pendouillent en vitrine (mais pas moins appétissants pour autant…). Les prix sont un tout petit peu plus élevés qu’ailleurs.
La 2eme fois, le poulet au poivre était vraiment une réussite, cuisson parfaite, bien assaisonné, j’ai aussi pris une soupe qui était bien.
Je n’ai pas été époustouflée par la cuisine, mais encore une fois c’est parce que j’ai du mal à apprécier cette cuisine. Pour tout amateur, c’est une adresse de référence.

Oh oui, un vrai bon resto chinois à Paris.
D’extérieur, le resto né paye pas de mine, d’intérieur non plus d’ailleurs: blanc, simple, sans fioriture ni déco.
En revanche, c’est bon et c’est authentique: c’est vraiment ce que l’on mange en Chine.
Un conseil: mangez à la chinoise, c’est-à-dire commander un plat par personne, mettez les plats au milieu de la table et partagez.

Best Chinese food in Paris. When I have my Asian food craving, we go on manhunts for spring rolls, noodles, and hot soup. In Paris, its very hard to find good Asian food outside the 13^th arrondisment… until I discovered this place!!! My friend who works at the Office de Tourisme recommended in this place, and we tried it immediately. SUCCESS!
It is in St Michel, my favorite area in Paris, not too expensive, and fast service! It does get very crowded at mealtimes though.
SHRIMP DUMPLING SOUP [avec or sans noodles]
The best soup in the house. The wontons/​dumplings are soft and delicious, well flavored, and the broth is just perfect.
BBQ PORC NOODLE SOUP
I had this the second time I went to Mirama, and I liked it more than the roast duck. Very flavorful meat, good broth, and noodles were filling. I didn’t need anything else. This bowl of noodles is enough to make me happy!!!
ROAST DUCK NOODLE SOUP
The duck is tender and flavorful. Not too salty, but the skin is super delicious. The egg noodles remind me of home, and the broth is similar to the shrimp dumpling broth. Light and perfect for a freezing cold rainy Paris night.
LONGAN
For dessert, there are a variety of fruit cups. Longan is offered in a cup, but it is not fresh. It’s preserved in sugar water, so it likely came from a can… but i actually like those as well. Not a large dessert, but good and light.
MANGO
A whole green mango!!! cut and look really pretty and easy to eat. Ripe and just sweet.

Je vais rarement vers St Michel mais suite a un rdv chez Shakespeare & Co je cherchais un endroit pour manger dans les alentours. Grâce à l’app iPhone de Unilocal et les bons conseils de Unilocaleurs, j’ai choisi Mirama pour mon déjeuner solo.
Malgré du monde chez Mirama ils m’ont mis à une super table dans la deuxième salle avec vu sur l’action. Les serveurs faisaient les aller-​retours avec les soupes, les plats du canard laqué, les nouilles sautées. Ça donnais trop envie, mais le moment crucial s’imposait: Qu’est ce que j’allais commander?
J’ai finalement choisi la soupe aux nouilles avec porc laqué. Elle était parfait — la viande était copieusement servie, bien moelleuse mais croustillant. Un choix excellent pour un déjeuner sur la pouce dans le quartier!

Le Mirama m’a convaincue que la cuisine asiatique pouvait être raffinée (après quelques malheureuses années de traiteur chinois à emporter). La devanture du restaurant né l’est pas particulièrement, puisque vous avez des canards accrochés au mur, près à être transformés en canard laqué, la spécialité de la maison.
Une fois que vous avez dépassé le stade des canards pendus et des serveurs pas particulièrement aimables, ça devient vraiment intéressant. Parce que le contenu de l’assiette vaut le détour. Autant les plats traditionnels (poulet curry ou ananas) que les soupes ou les raviolis. Tout est vraiment très bon. Un signe qui né trompe pas: il n’y a quasiment que des clients asiatiques au Mirama.
