Avoid this place at all costs. After purchasing a Patek Philippe for over $ 43,000 and sending payment promptly, I was treated worse than if I had bought a $ 100 Casio off of a street corner. The problems started before the watch was even shipped, where 1 week after making payment I was notified that they had to remove the alligator strap due to import restrictions and on top of that the shop was closing for 1 month the following day. Given that this was not mentioned prior to accepting my payment was a major red flag. I agreed to have the watch shipped with a (cheap) replacement strap and spent another $ 300 to replace the one it was supposed to come with. I was promised that the shop would be responsive, even though it was closed. Upon receiving the watch, I noticed that the watch (a perpetual calendar) did not keep time on a watch winder, which is a major problem because perpetual calendars are very tedious to set. I also noticed the power reserve was closer to 2 hours, not the 40+ the watch is supposed to have. I brought the watch to the most respected watch repair shop in NYC and they evaluated the movement and determined the mainspring needed to be replaced. This was an additional $ 2000 expense. However, according to the Montres Modernes website, they provide a 1 year warranty, so I was anticipating that they would cover the repair. After trying to contact them via email and receiving no response, I waited a full month until the shop reopened to call them. I was reassured by the salesman that I spoke with Antoine that the issue would be resolved immediately. It is now over two weeks and several phone calls and emails later and I have yet to get any further with these idiots. At this point I am going to pay for the cost of the repair out of my own pocket and leave this review as a warning to anyone that is considering purchasing from this place to look elsewhere. I’ve gotten WAY better service from dealers on eBay if that gives you any indication.

— Si vous avez le cash, payez et partez vite.
— Si vous pensez financer la montre avec eux, sachez qu’ils né feront aucun effort et vous pousseront à voir ailleurs pour vendre la montre de vos rêves à un «acheteur-​express».
— Si vous insistez, ils la venderont quand même à quelqu’un d’autre (même en s’engageant à vous la garder).
Bref, même des vendeurs de fausses Rolex à Bali se comporteraient mieux qu’eux.
