Oh my goodness the pasta was so good. So fresh, so flavorful, exactly as the reviews say. Make sure you book ahead of time, as there are about 14 small tables in the tiny restaurant and they fill up quick. We were able to get a reservation the same day, but glad we had booked. Ask the waiter for recommendations, we were not sad that we ordered the gnocchi that was on special. I think he even rolled his eyes in delight when describing it! The portions are decent size too, so don’t overdo it on starters, the star is the pasta, focus on that.

I went to this restaurant out of boredom with the traditional French cuisine– it’s tucked away in the upstairs of a basic italian goods store. Simple ambience with delicious italian cuisine. We especially loved the prosciutto wrapped asparagus, selection of fresh pastas, view of the beautiful St. Germain neighborhood, and friendly waitstaff. A perfect break from menus filled with foie gras and steak frites.

I love hidden places and you won’t believe that this place actually exists in one of the most visited streets in Saint Germain. It is located in the first floor of an italian épicerie and it can seat 15 people more or less. So making a reservation is not optional. It can be a bit expensive for pasta, but I consider the ratio quality/price to be rather fair. The ambiance is extremely intimate, with mellow music in the background and completely isolated from the noisy Saint Germain. Perfect for dating !

A wonderful walk up ten table discovery Italian bistro. Family owns the deli below, brothers have the restaurant above. Christopher and his brother run the place. Not a guy word but enchanting.

Excellent Italian pasta in the heart of Paris. A real gem that not a lot of people know about! Don’t be deceived. The actual restaurant is above the grocery! Quality/Price: 4 stars Though not a steal because it’s pricey, still one of the best Italian pastas I’ve had in Paris. Service: 5 stars Excellent. The waitress went through the menu items one by one to translate Italian to French and English to us. Ambiance: 5 stars Very very cozy. Romantic. Quiet. Just lovely! MUSTTRY!

This is a great little restaurant in the heart of the 6th Ard. We fell in love with the food when we stopped into the deli to get things to take back to our hotel. We later discovered the very small restaurant upstairs from the deli. It only seats about 20 people so make reservations or hope to be lucky like we were. Cozy, friendly, and very good pasta to cap it off. Loved it.

One of the best nights I had on my most recent trip to Paris. This is a ‘hidden’ italian restaurant that is above a small shop called Pastavino. I found it on a blog prior to my trip to Paris and was excited to try it. They have about 15 seats in this small restaurant so I definitely suggest that you make reservations. We called the day of and we were able to get one of their last spots for a party of 4 around 10pm. During the summer it’s not that big of a deal as that’s when the sun goes down anyway. We get there a bit early and since our table wasn’t ready the servers(who spoke fantastic english) offered us some wine and even gave us a nice little amuse bouche while we waited. She even explained the menu to us and allowed us to punch in our appetizers so that we didn’t have to wait to sit down to order them. I thought that was a thoughtful gesture. When our table is ready, we climb the steps to the cutest little restaurant. It was so cute with a window open to allow the nighttime summer breeze come in with candles throughout. It was such a great ambiance. I uploaded photos, just go look! Appetizers came shortly after we sat down and everything was fresh and delicious. I’m not the greatest and describing food, but everything each of us had was great. I uploaded some photos that we took to give you an idea of what the food is like. The service was outstanding and I hope to come back here again on my next trip!

This place was right around the corner from where we were staying. I walked by several times and eyed their paninis. Got the speck(prosciutto) with cheese and was not disappointed. They also have wonderful pre-made Italian dishes daily that you can take to go to bake later.
