I LOVEPICARD! AHHHHH okay to be honest, I haven’t really had anything here besides the escargots. Actually, I might have because my host mom may or may not have made most of our dinners from Picard … o_o I’ll get to the escargots later. Even though it might be weird that it’s all frozen food because frozen food has a negative connotation in the States, they’re actually REALLY good in Paris. At least, they are in Picard. And they’re super easy to make at home :) It’s shockingly inexpensive and the food looks so, so good. Just being inside a Picard makes me giddy. The one near where I live right now(near Amelie’s café) doesn’t have the giant bag of 50 escargots for 12 €, but the one here at Vaugirard(where I used to live) does. It is such a steal: O. Usually, escargots de Bourgogne are at least 6 € for 6. I don’t know how much the quality differs(to be honest, I LOVE escargots and I eat them all too voraciously. I can’t afford to spend 12 € on only 12 escargots), but I know that the ones at Picard are ultra delish. You do have to eat them pretty fresh from the oven, though. I brought some to a picnic the other day, after more than 45 minutes in transit /waiting, and … well, it’s just not as good when the butter has solidified. Eat the sauce with a baguette. :D
