My wife and I stumbled upon this place for lunch and were super impressed. The tandoori chicken was tender and delicious, the saag paneer was very flavorful, the cheese naan melted in our mouths, and the banana lassi we shared was great, too. What a find!

Best Indian restaurant. The place itself is a bit small and crowded, however the food is delicious. I had a chicken tikka masala, and it tasted absolutely amazing. The white rice by itself is tasty. I had salty Lassi to drink, it could have been saltier but I liked it. As a side dish, I ordered the garlic cheese bread. No regret. Don’t miss this restaurant if you are in Paris!

Tres bon resto Indien.

We look back fondly on our two separate trips to Rani Mahal. My spouse and I have traveled throughout the United States and Canada. We are both passionate over our love of Indian food. We stumbled — literally — upon Rani Mahal. It stands out as being the best, finest experience we ever had with Indian food. It tops excellent experiences in San Francisco, DC, New York City. The food was fragrant, exquisitely prepared and scrumptious. I do not write Unilocal reviews often, normally reserving them for establishments deserving high praise. Simply, we look forward to our next trip to Paris, and our return to the Opera District — and Rani Mahal.

I had heard of this place but I finally got the chance to test it today and I have to say not bad. Their plain parantha and eggplant bhartha was excellent. The daal could have been better and the vegetable biryani was more of a pilaf than biryani but overall the food was tasty. My only complaint would be the pricing — I’m used to Chettinadu prices but given the part of town it’s located in, not too bad! Would be my pick for North Indian food.

Some of the best Indian we have eaten… We live in Manhattan, and have eaten at a variety of Indian establishments, but this Indian in Paris was some of the best basic Indian — samosas, bahjai, chicken tikka, and chicken tika massala — we have ever had.
