Wow. WOW. We loved every tapas we ordered here. The only regret is that we didn’t have room in our bellies for more and upon coming back our last night in Paris, they were fully booked. The space is small, cozy, and modern with trendy ambience. The steak was sooo tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. It was beautiful, just such a beautiful experience in my mouth. The pork was rubbed with spices and sooo tender as well. The quality, the texture were perfect here. Just do it, just order both, just get it all!!! We also ordered the cheese balls which reminded me of pao de quiejo but cheesier in taste. They serve it with this light delicious curry sauce. We also ordered the butternut squash soup which tasted light but so rich at the same time, like magic. It was really cold out so this was a welcome addition to our meal. Two thumbs up for the seasonal soup as well. The 3(or was it 4??) cheese risotto was cooked al dente, full of flavor and accompanied well with the meats. We ordered 2 desserts. My husband loved his lemon dessert while I thoroughly enjoyed my raspberry cream with lychee flavors and topped with berry meringues.

Came here after seeing glowing reviews on Unilocal and Tripadvisor. The Food: Underwhelming. We ordered the fried comté, the fries, the vegetarian tartare, and the Argentinian entrecôte. Plus the rosé which was on a happy hour special(€ 3). Has a lot of potential! The presentation was on point and the plate ideas are worthwhile. We just did not like the taste of the food, as it was a bit bland. HOWEVER: from the cheese and charcuterie boards that passed us, I think I’d be a great place for drinks and cheese/charcuterie. Just not for a substantial meal. The Service: The exceptional service gives this place a solid 3 stars. For Paris, the waiters were very polite, patient, attentive, and other positive adjectives.

My wife and I have visited Sourire twice now in the past week and will continue to enjoy ourselves here during our next several weeks vacationing in Paris. We decided on Sourire based on reviews on Unilocal and our experience exceeded our expectations both times. I had gone by earlier in the day to check Sourire out and was greeted by Guillaume, one of the owners I think. I made a reservation there for later in the day and was given any table I wanted. When we returned, everything that happened went perfectly. The small plate concept is right up our alley and we started with the charcuterie plate, then the mushrooms with cheese and after that the pork cheeks… All were great… the pork cheeks were spectacular. We had multiple glasses of very good wine… Guillaume and his business partner, who I think is the chef, take a tremendous amount of pride in their food fare and the wine as well. It was a totally enjoyable evening… we returned three days later, and ordered different dishes and different wines… our waitperson was Tomas… and he was terrific as well. Guillaume remembered us from before and dropped by several times to see how we were doing. We will tell our French friends and will return ASAP… Gary and Gerry

I had read that when in doubt, always make reservations in Paris. So I made a Saturday lunch reservation for 13:30. We happened to be ready for lunch at 12:15, shortly after they opened. We were the first customers there, so it wasn’t a problem at all. We chose to sit on the large leather sofa, which was crazy comfortable. The owner greeted us, asked if we preferred English, which we said we did. He handed us menus in English which was awesome. This restaurant does small plates, which is something I love. I ordered the cheese assortment of the day and the baked Camembert. BF ordered the Parmesan fries and the chorizo dish. Oh. My. God. The comte cheese was great. The fries with truffle dip were awesome. I mean, I have never had such good fries. And then there was the Camembert, baked, melted, with candied walnuts, the best food to ever enter my mouth. I will have dreams of this baked Camembert. I love cheese, but I never imagined cheese could be this amazing. I would just continue talking about this cheese, but I think you get my point. But I mean, seriously amazing. Please ship me some! It was a pretty hot day, so we had white wine, which was perfectly chilled. And then for dessert we split a Nutella cake. I can’t even… it was amazing. Candied hazelnuts, ice cream, and this just fabulous cake that oozed chocolate perfection out of the center. The owner, who also served us, was just amazing, very kind and fun and relaxed. This place is VERY English-speaking friendly. We went to many great restaurants and had some great food in our 9 days in France, but I have to say I think this was my favorite. It will definitely be my #1 spot to visit again when ever in the future we get back to Paris. Thank you so much for such a lovely afternoon.

I’m so excited to write my first review as a hipster saying that I knew about this place before it was cool. It’s only been around for a month or so, but thanks to good ratings on Unilocal and TripAdvisor, it’s got a pretty nice following already. All the small, shareable plates of food we got were outstanding, particularly the beef cheeks(when in france, right?), the fried chicken oysters(these are chicken, not oysters), and the scallops. The wine list was also excellent, and since it was our first night in Paris, we «splurged» on the most expensive bottle of incredible Bordeaux wine that only set us back ~EUR40. Gotta love Paris and celebrate that USD/EUR exchange rate. I think they’re still working out some of the kinks in service, as it took a while for us to get our water/wine/menus at the beginning, but the owners came around and chatted with us, and the entire staff was very friendly and warm. The vibe of the venue is enjoyable as well, as it feels like your typical Parisian sidewalk café, but it’s also a block or two removed from the chaos of tourists roaming the streets with their maps and fanny packs. Merci pour un bon repas! Food: 5⁄5 Value: 4⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Atmosphere: 4⁄5

This place was near the top of tripadvisor when I visited Paris so I checked it out. I actually by here once and passed on it, because the menu looked small, but came back the next day for lunch and was very impressed. Small, relaxing place and everything was perfect. Try to cheeseburger, you will not be disappointed. Most of the other stuff in this area is typical crappy tourist food, but this place really stood out. If you go at night you may want to make a reservation.
