I liked this place. It was cozy and warm inside. Very friendly staff! I was just in shock when I arrived here and expected to see the same, large, luxury hotel room that I saw on the travel booking website, and got an itty bitty room(this is a 3 star hotel). Silly me, I should have known the best of the best would be shown online! But anyhow, this really was a great place to stay. I love the Latin Quarter, it is so quaint and beautiful. You have the Panthéon behind you, the Notre Dame Cathedral in front of you, and the Seine River in between. There are great restaurants nearby, and a Metro stop not too far away. The size of the room really did not matter in the end as it was mostly a place for sleeping and bathing. The staircase was pretty cool looking. The elevator was questionable. It didn’t fit more than 2 people at a time(let alone 2 people plus their 2 suitcases each). So I mostly opted to take the awesome looking staircase instead. It was kind of funny actually, my traveling companion and I on our last day, positioned ourselves where one of us was on our floor, and the other in the lobby as we sent down our luggage in the elevator by itself one by one. Hopefully that elevator has since been updated. What was kind of a bummer was that I couldn’t fit my voltage converter in the electrical outlet as there was a ring of plastic surrounding it, which, if you had appliances that fit Europe’s outlets, wouldn’t be a problem. But it was for this traveler who had no camera battery after a day and a half into her trip, c’était un imprévu. They provide free breakfast in the lower level of the hotel, and it’s really good food, too. Can’t beat that! Lastly, don’t forget to leave your room key with the concierge when you head out for the day!

Rating des Ortes: 3 San Francisco, États-Unis
Stayed here for a full week in 2006. This is a 2 to 3 star typical tourist hotel close to the hub-bub of Rue Huchette, The river, Notre Dame, Sorbonne, etc Building is old. Some of the original exposed stone walls are interesting. The rooms are small, too small for this Californian. Furniture is old and in medium state of repair. No modern conveniences in the room nor the lobby. No television, No wi-fi(At least in 2006). Most of the staff could not be bothered to assist the hotel guests. If you are Anglophone only, you’d basically be out-of-luck getting any advice or help at all. The housekeeping staff were friendly & helpful. Room price in 2006 was $ 100US per night. Not really a good value if you know Paris and can shop around. Now, I rent a 3 room nicely furnished apartment for the same price.
