I had a great time celebrating a friend’s birthday with some sushi here! The service was amazing and it was such a nice place to enjoy some drinks & sushi with good friends; we felt very welcome here. The prices are also some of the best that you’ll find for sushi in Paris.
Sushi Yaki is somewhere that a student can enjoy a large amount of sushi without going completely broke. Their prices are incredible as they make it affordable for everyone to enjoy some sushi! I can’t say it’s the best sushi that I’ve ever had but it’s also not the worst either; you get what you pay for and still I think you get a little more here.
You have plenty of sushi options at Sushi Yaki along with a variety of Yakitori options as well. I would recommend stopping by if you have a limited budget but love sushi!

Si vous voulez manger un sushi classique mais très bon, allez chez Sushi Yaki !!!
Peu importe que les proprios soient des asiatiques d’autres régions, ça n’empêche pas que c’est bon, et on en est bien servi !
L’accueil est merveilleux et les prix sont tout doux.
Allez-​y les sushiphiles!

I dragged my poor boyfriend to this place tonight because of the great rating. But it was terrible. Even the rice was wrong. I ate two pieces of sashimi and then stopped out of fear. This is not fresh fish. This is my first bad experience in a place with such great reviews on Unilocal,and I am very disappointed. The service was very friendly, the space is bright and attractively decorated, but go elsewhere.

Love this place! I ordered their Menu Etudiante which was around 9 euros I believe. It came with sushi, kebabs, and soup and salad. Everything was great and tasted very fresh!
What really blew me away about this place, however, was the service! I went for a late lunch and the place was pretty empty, which could have been a partial reason for the exceptional service. I believe the woman who waited our table was also a co-​owner of the place (along with her husband), and she was incredibly friendly. She really made an effort to speak English with me, and then eventually switched to Mandarin when she found out that we are both Chinese. I would 100% return to this place because it is rare to find places in Paris with such exceptional service.

Found this place after a walk in the gardens. Really small place as expected. The waiters there make an effort to speak English. We had the California roll with the cheese and the Las Vegas roll. As well as the duck brochette. I never had a brochette but it was yummy. I would go back.

Good sushi! Coming from San Francisco we were wondering if we’d find a good sushi spot. Love bistros and brasseries. But we’re looking for a change. The service was very friendly and the nigiri seemed fresh and of good quality. Rice was a little too sweet for my taste. Much sweeter than I’m used to in SF. Brochettes were quite tasty too. And miso was good. Overall a good choice.

I would recommend this place mainly because of the service. The owners are a Chinese couple whom are very nice, hardworking and says Merci (thank you) with a smile quite often. The food is okay but that’s because I’m half Japanese and I have high standards. They could use less rice on their sushi and possibly invest in better quality but then again, we are in France. It was nice to be treated with hospitality, unlike a lot of other French eateries where they treat you differently simply because you’re not French or you’re one of the «too many Americans» that come to visit. French people’s reputation for rudeness lives up to their standards. However, if you find yourself near this cute Japanese restaurant definitely stop by for a nice tall glass of Asahi beer and some yummy fish.

We were going back to our hotel then saw several Japanese restaurants on the route (bus 27) and decided to get Japanese in Paris. The restaurant is the last restaurant on this street but we decided to go here as Unilocal reviews were great. I ordered sashimi dinner and my boy friend ordered sashimi + yakitori. Both were so tasty and we are in agreement that sushi quality was as good as California. The price was really reasonable (14.50 Euro for my sashimi plate and 12.50 for my bfs sashimi + yakitori). We highly suggest the restaurant if you crave Asian food during your trip in Paris or even if you just want good sushi + yakitori.

J’ai essayé tous les restaurants japonais de la rue monsieur le prince (et il y en a beaucoup) mais celui là est mon préféré !! Il a l’air petit et discret mais n’hésitez pas à franchir le pas de la porte, vous né le regretterez pas. Excellent rapport qualité prix et service aimable et chaleureux. Mais surtout ils font depuis peu des mochis glacés !

I went there hoping to find some fresh fish. Not too surprise as I ordered a plate of sashimi. Don’t really taste the freshness though. I heard sashimi is Paris is better than Montréal, but I don’t think so.
The service is not bad. Very attentive and somewhat which I guess. I ordered the skewers; chicken ball and beef. The chicken ball is pretty good and saucy but the beef is meh.
The price is not bad I guess. Cheap for eating is Paris…

Un petit restaurant qui né paie pas de mine… Et pourtant! Si j’étais parisienne, j’y passerais tous les jours. Le personnel est très gentil et souriant, la qualité est super, c’est vraiment très copieux et ça coûte une bouchée de pain. On a pris le menu Valentin 2 et ça deviendra un passage obligé pour nos prochains séjours dans la capitale.

I dont get the hype. Coming from a sushi fanatic, this place was just ‘Eh’. Maybe because we didnt get the chicken udon? Boyfriend’s meat skewers were just OK. They were meat. On skewers. My sushi was just OK. Salmon was very good, but mackerel was a bit dried out and fishy. Tuna was somewhere in between. Ambiance is fine. Location is good. Service is very friendly and nice.

On a street filled with Japanese restaurants, this small place in the middle of the street was filled. A good sign, yes? Ah oui, mes amis. I had a chicken udon — sushi /​sashimi combo for about 10e. The udon was excellent, and I slowly understood why the place was frequented by students and locals. Most everyone got the udon. The menu is otherwise fairly basic and similar to the other restaurants, no fancy sushis, your good old yakitori skewers and the like. The staff was very nice and cordial, and it made for a nice find in the middle of Paris.

Le restaurant de choix de la rue Mr le Prince pour une envie de sushi, brochettes sashimi, maki pas cher! Le meilleur rapport qualité/​prix que jai pu trouver à tester tous les restaurants de cette rue!
L accueil est très chaleureux, les 2 gérants sont vraiment très souriants, et sympathiques.
Leurs menus sont bien composés (mais ce n est que mon avis). Avec des compostions très mixtes qui permettent de choisir selon toutes nos envies.
Ce nest pas cher, cest bien composé, cest chaleureux, bref, je le recommande! Même si ce n est pas le meilleur en terme de goût.

Ma cantine pendant un moment.
Mais toujours avec un réel bonheur d’aller manger dans ce restaurant, dont les prix sont plus que raisonnables.
Comme beaucoup de restaurant japonais, tenus par de chinois, mais très gentils et serviables.
