Tandooright has had a soft opening this past month or two, in the newly renovated Galarie Vaugirard — Montparnasse complex. I learned that they plan to advertise more heavily very soon. They are still working a few kinks out, but I like what I see so far. My wife and I have now visited twice and found the fast food Indian to be pretty good. We learned that the main plates are all cooked at a more established traditional Indian restaurant nearby(then reheated at the resto). We tried a naan chicken sandwich(done up like a burrito, but with naan bread), created on the spot, which was excellent and also came with nicely spiced french fries. We have also had a tasty lamb and rice dish, and a shrimp curry dish. The very best part was the value. A sandwich formule was only 5.90 while the plat formule was 7.90. Both came with a drink, which incredibly includes a mango lassie. A mango lassie at any other Indian restaurant would normally run 3.50 euro at least, so the fact that it is included in the formule is just incredible, just jaw dropping really. Better yet, it is 10% off for students. So for those in the lycées nearby(and can read English), you should all be flocking this place asap. Anyway we will be back and frequent visitors.
