We are drawn to tea places as they are usually these calm islands in the manic stream of urban life, The nicest of such islands we once found in Prague: Dobra Cajovna. Unilocal?Paris as well has very nice tea places. Tcha-La was indeed very calm, almost darkly quiet. The staff was very discreet, if not distant. The tea was done with perfection, but quite expensive. Prices got out of control when we ordered some desserts, for instance a slice of matcha cake. It was clearly home made which I appreciated. But it also showed their limitations: They know how to brew tea, but didn’t know how to bake. Go there if you want to be left alone and enjoy a cup of good tea.
