This is a nice little place in the 7th Arr, in Paris(Paris 7eme). Good tourist place, not too far from the Eiffel tower pleasant enough place to take a break from the hard slog of tourism. Nice little Irish Pub. Collin’s Bar. Unpretentious, simple and quiet. Away from the hussle and bussle of St Dominique or rue Cler. There it all stops. It is an Irish Pub in name only. — beware the batman(pleasant but shady character), I believe he picked up his accounting skills in Enron or Arthur Anderson. You try as a good Irish person to pay as you go(like back home) — creative accounting 101 and he adds the bill to your tab(abet not opened!(lesson learnt — Stay for a single drink) If you do need to stay a while longer I suggest you pay as you go. Happy hour is meaningless and indeed the longer you stay the more untrue your bill will become.(advertised Happy hours drinks — 4 Euros a Pint, charged 7) If the barman thinks you have had one too many then he will not only add fictitious drinks to you slate but try to bill you twice while pointing out that you have obviously had too much to tell the difference. Yet again the name of a great Corkman is dragged through the muck … Of the Irish Pubs in Paris this is certainly top of the list to be avoided. those in the very heart of the city and in a location begging to con the«tourist» have a much better standing. This latest addition in the 7th is nothing more than a conjob or may be the barman a tealeaf. Times are tough in Paris. In reviewing this establishment I find the overall note can not be low enough. Is a minus star possible. did I mention the Lays crisps not even Taytos… Just what sort of taste is that… enough said
