Timhotel

We got booked here through Groupon, and it turned out to be pretty good. Yes, the construction is still going on (until 10p every night during the week, evidently), and the intersection outside is a magnet for sirens and drama. Just wear earplugs at night, if you need to? Otherwise, the location was convenient, as the hotel is right on both the Metro and the RER lines. That makes it easy to go ANYWHERE in the city from this hotel, which is not going to cost you a lot. The breakfast is good, especially the fresh-​squeezed orange juice. The restaurant is okay for dinner, too, and drinks as well. The room was fine, although the bathtub/​shower floor was slippery – be careful! The staff was great, and we enjoyed our three-​night stay here. The wifi isn’t great, but what do you expect?

Rooms are very small. I have been to other hotels in Europe but this is extremely small. The staff is very nice though. The surrounding area is not so great and I live in Spanish Harlem in NYC. Pretty sketchy area, but luckily the metro is close. Overall, skip unless it is the best price available.

We had to book a hotel at last minute, that wasn’t too expensive and was around this area. Timhotel was perfect. It was right by a metrostation, reception was open 24 hours, the room was clean, the bed comfortable… couldn’t have asked for better. We didn’t make use of the restaurant or any other features in the hotel but it was wonderful nonetheless.

I don’t know how long the construction is but if I had known earlier I wouldn’t have booked here. If you’re taking a cab to/​from train station or airport, there’s loads of traffic in this area. If you have heavy luggage it is impossible to use the metro because there’s no elevator in the metro closest to this hotel.
Staff speak English. Room is standard European style. Strong shower pressure. Water kettle/​coffee/​tea provided. Wifi is excellent in the room. Breakfast also good. No English channel.
Convenience store and restaurants in the area. Kind of scary (and too polluted/​dusty) to walk around in the evening.
Skip this one– there’s other choices in other areas with same price.

First off, I’m going to start by saying the hotel doesn’t have any security and lets any thieves or robbers sit in the lobby! My family and I were about to leave to go home when a few men stole a couple of my bags along with our passports and money! The nightmare of all nightmares when traveling. I found it a bit odd that they were waiting for ppl to leave with their luggage at that specific time and more than half of the staff didn’t seem to care at all or were not surprised this happened. The only helpful ppl were some of the male staff, night staff and the manager. I was however pleasantly surprised when our passports mysteriously were found the next morning after we had to book two rooms the day they were stolen. But still I wouldn’t risk it, and the neighborhood is one of the roughest neighborhoods I’ve seen in Paris. Be very careful of your bags and luggage if staying here!!!

Ein schönes Hotel in einem vielleicht etwas abgewrackten Stadtteil. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und werden jeden Tag gereinigt. Keine Selbstverständlichkeit für französische Hotels. Auch das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Und spricht sogar neben Französisch auch Englisch und sogar etwas Deutsch.
Das Zimmer war zwar relativ klein, der Preis dafür allerdings auch. Es existiert im Zimmer ein kleiner Safe um Wertsachen zu verschließen. Man bekommt Standard-​mäßig einen Stadtplan mit eigenem Standort sowie viele Info-​Materialien zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Veranstaltungen.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist die günstige Lage! Mit der RER erreicht man den Eiffelturm in ca. 15 Min., Schloss Versailles in ca. 1 Std. und Notre Dame in ca. 25 Min.
Auch ein U-​Bahnhof ist direkt gegenüber gelegen.
Man kann diese Hotel nur empfehlen!
