We wanted to walk down Rue Cler, and we used Rick Steve’s Paris book and found his recommendation to eat here. It’s around 6:10pm, so it’s early for dinner and there’s not a lot of people around, but we were hungry! We ordered the ham & cheese crêpe, the mushroom, tomato, and peppers crêpe, and the chicken & veggie crepes. The food was pretty good, and our waiter had a big sense of humor. We had a table outside on Rue Cler, so it was fun to people-watch while we were having dinner. Total for the 3 of us was € 31. We noticed a even better deal was to get the crepes to go!

We four won’t be back. Food was ok, but the service needs improvement. SERVICE: 1.0. We expected relaxed southern service, but also that it be reliable. The slowness met expectations; reliability was well below. And we were very patient. Examples: — asked for water twice before it was delivered. — had to ask for our second small carafe of wine 3 times. It was finally delivered after 3 out of our party of 4 had finished their main dish. — 1 person’s meal was was not delivered until after 2 reminders – and after the other 3 people had finished. Meanwhile what appeared to be a regular customer came in(3 people) and were served main dishes and had left. — despite the preceding experience we ordered two sweet crêpes and an expresso for dessert. Expresso arrived promptly. After 15 min a server came by and asked if we needed anything; we reported we had already ordered but were ready to leave if it was going to take longer. Server replied to wait because it would only take a couple of minutes. One crêpe was then quickly cooked and delivered; the other arrived 5 min after the first one was consumed. Though no apology was offered, we were not charged for the expresso. AMBIANCE: 2.0. FOOD: 3.0. Ulysses salad was a 4.

Probably… No it is my favorite spot off of the Rue Cler. We were looking for some crepes for breakfast. Yes I how touristy of me but I didn’t care because I wanted some savory crepes and I wanted them right then. When walking down the Rue Clue, we spotted a closed crêpe stand in front of the café, walked up crossing our fingers that the had crepes available. We were greeted by a large, jovial man and he really made it one of the best meals of the trip. I had the egg, cheese, and mushroom crêpe and a small accompanying salad. It was perfect and just what I wanted. We took our time eating breakfast and finishing our café au lait since it was nice and toasty inside. Paris is freezing so the relief was quite nice and the company helped a lot too. It is a tiny little place with tons of charm and just a small banquette against the wall. I think the whole place seats about 10 people max. It was really a nice breakfast and I would go back in a heart beat. Also after coming home and googling it, I found that Rick Steves too recommend this little creperie.
