Un Monde Vegan

Excellent shop for all of your vegan needs. A gem in a city like Paris that is not always so vegan friendly.

Promis, j’aurais vraiment aimé mettre une note plus élevée…
Le lieu, déjà: plutôt bien placé (à côté de République) mais tellement triste ! A moins d’être déjà végé, j’imagine mal quelqu’un se dire «tiens c’est mignon, je vais rentrer».
Les rayons sont étroits, si bien que dès qu’il y a plus de 5 personnes ça peut vite être étouffant (par exemple à la fin des manifs pro-​protection animale). Les produits sont TRES variés, très bon point, mais pas mal de «best sellers» sont souvent en rupture de stock (comme le fromage râpé).
Deuxième souci: le manqué de cohérence et d’envergure dans le concept. Je rejoins Fanny B.: à part que ces produits soient vegan, quel rapport ?
Certes, tout le monde y trouve son compte, mais tout ce plastique, partout, ça me laisse un peu circonspecte. Par ailleurs, j’ai été finalement convaincue par peu de simili-​viandes, et pas zéro simili-​fromages. Certes, chacun ses goûts mais c’est mon avis après tout: p
Bref, c’est cool d’avoir une boutique comme ça dans Paris (la seule pour l’instant), mais un peu plus de produits frais, locaux et surtout plus de convivialité siouplé !

This place is amazing! It’s like vegan heaven! We visited Paris from the US, and sometimes we struggled to find the good vegetarian food we were used to back home, so my partner and I were excited to check this place out.
The selection here is phenomenal; it has an entire wall dedicated to different types of fake meat, which must have 100 different types in all. I’ve never seen anything like this in the US or any other country that I have been to. We bought lots of good stuff here, and then went to a local grocer for bread, cheese, and wine, and made a phenomenal picnic out of it. You know you want to do the same. :-)

An itty bitty all vegan shop in the Marais. It is small but packed full of cruelty free goodness! I had been missing all the processed vegan junk we have in the states, and I had to look no further. MUST BUYS– The herbed cheez’ made of tofu in the circular tubs, they are just like boursin, and the sliced German brand cheez. The name was something like Humbergher. They did not carry black or pinto beans, but everything else you could imagine is here. Including makeup, pet items, and household items. Definitely worth a stop while in Paris, the Marais is full of vegan food spots.

Another super tricky review for me. Pros: good location, relatively friendly hipster staff, huge selection of hard-​to-​find products in a tiny space, lots of things I’ve yet to find easily elsewhere in Paris — such as kombucha and coconut butter. Vegans who eat mostly processed vegan food will love it here — and that’s where my review gets a bit wonky.
To me, vegan is about eating things that bring you closer to nature. No harm, no foul, ahymnsa. Yet for whatever reason there are no fresh foods at this store — just packaged goods in tons of plastic that happen to be animal-​free. There’s something off about this side of the store that rubbed me the wrong way… Like it’s for show. Only saw tourists, very chic Parisian’s and hipsters in here, no crunchy granola’s to be seen. The other bio stores I’ve been to in the area? (and I’ve been to quite a few now) Had this element of organic shopping down. Fresh food was the staple, with vegan, bio, gluten-​free, sugar-​free, you-​name-​it as an option. Here? It’s packaged. All of it. Everything has a label.
While I get the reasoning (really, it’s lovely to find some of these products), there has to be a balance, and I found it lacking in such an odd way here.

Quelle ÉNORME grande surprise ! Depuis que j’étais rentree d’Angleterre où le veganisme est assez développé, je me plaignais intérieurement de né pas retrouver de petits supermarché vegan. Et bien ici vous serez servis ! Dans une petite rue branché du Marai très agreable, vous trouverez ù endroit où vous trouverez du cru, du sans gluten, du simili carné, des farines au nom étrange, et plein d’autres choses. Ce que j’ai trouvé formidable: la boutique n’est vraiment pas grande, c’est une petite épicerie, mais le choix est merveilleusement tien fait. Les vendeurs sont gentils et de bons conseils. J’ai eu cette vague impression de «tout le monde il est eau tout le monde il est gentil «qui me poussera sûrement à refaire l’aller retour de Versailles. (et de mettre 2h 30 pour rentrer un samedi !)

Très bon petit supermarché pour les fans de bio, les végétariens, végétariens et aussi pour les coeliaques comme moi.
Même si le magasin n’est pas extrêmement grand, on y trouve un choix déjà plus large que dans la plupart des supermarchés de base. Préparation à pancakes, porridge, brownie, pâtes,… ou y trouve pas mal de petites choses très intéressantes !
Le petit plus, c’est que si vous faites parties des intolérants à la caséine, dont je fait la encore partie, et bien c’est l’endroit parfait puisqu’ici on est sure de né pas tomber sur du lait ou du beurre provenant de matière animale, vous pouvez donc y trouver des substitues de fromages vraiment pas mauvais, un grand soulagement pour l’accro au fromage que j’ai toujours été. On y trouve aussi de très bon chocolat sans caséine. Pas beaucoup de choix au niveau pâtes sans gluten, et pas de pain sans gluten non plus.
Les prix quant à eux sont tout à fait correct, très franchement je m’attendais à pire, quand on vois déjà le prix des produits sans gluten dans les supermarchés, je né suis pas sure d’en avoir eu pour plus cher que pour une quantité équivalente d’article dans un monop’…
Le seul bémol à mon gout, c’est qu’ils devraient penser à en ouvrir d’autres !!

Black beans in a can. I could stop my review right there. Finding something as special as that could stop any American living in Paris in their tracks. But there was also refried beans in a can — ahhhhhh! Shout it from the roof tops!!! Now add on possibly the largest fake meat selection in France. They have tofu jerky! Jerky, I say! Plus vegan marshmallows and gummy bears. There was fake shrimp, too! Okay, so I won’t likely ever eat a fake shrimp, but they exist if someone else wants to! They don’t have as wide a range of products as most other bio/​health food shops do. But, that’s likely primarily due to focusing only vegan food rather than vegetarian and health foods more broadly. Regardless, what they do have is really amazing. On top of that, you can order food via their website and either pick it up in the store or have it delivered. If you’re a vegetarian/​vegan living in Paris, this place is a must to add to your monthly shopping list to pick up a freezer full of protein. And, just to repeat: BLACK BEANS IN A CAN.

Amazing amazing amazing. As a vegan from London I’m quite spoilt for choice, and have always heard France is awful even for vegetarians. However, I did my research before my trip to Paris, and managed to find a lot of cool looking vegan places.
When my boyfriend and I visited Un Monde Vegan on Friday, we were shocked at how much stuff is on sale. Really incredible variety of produce which even in London we find it hard to get hold of (Wheaty, all the chocolate, cheese, various other faux meat brands). They even have vegan pain au raisins, and croissants!
We bought some sliced cheese (a German brand, I think) which was probably the best vegan cheese i’ve ever had. You wouldn’t know it wasn’t real dairy cheese. I wish we’d bought more. They had other brands too (Vegusto, Sheese, Teese, etc).
Really amazing shop. Had everything I’d ever need, and more. Lots of my favourite foods (Wheaty Spacebars, Go Max Go chocolate, cheese, Redwood, etc). Can’t wait to visit on my next trip to the city.

Amis végéta*iens du jour, bonjour!
Voilà un nouvel endroit qui risqué de vous plaire. Connu depuis un moment pour leur vente en ligne de produits veggies, l’enseigne «un monde vegan» a ouvert il y a quelques mois une petite surface dans Paris (proche de République).
Un monde vegan propose un vaste choix de produits végétariens ou vegan, cela va de la nourritures aux chaussures (celles de Vegeterian Shoes s’il vous plaît!). En ce qui me concerne, je suis allée voir ce que ça donnait niveau nourriture et je n’ai pas été déçue. Je suis repartie avec des veggie dogs (de supers bonnes saucisses au tofu épicées), des pattys de «meat free southern fried chicken style burger» que j’ai adoré et des veggies schnitzel! Ces produits sont vraiment supers bons et le prix plus que correct pour ceux qui veulent manger sans cruauté! Je né suis pas végétarienne mais j’apprécie réellement les produits que j’ai pu trouver ici. Il y a vraiment de tout, vous pourrez aussi trouver du fromage vegan, un nombre incroyable de tartinades, des produits sans gluten etc.
Mon pêché mignon ici, c’est la barre de chocolat noir fourré à la pâte d’amande Marzipan!
