I didn’t think places like this existed any more, but I was pleased to find this one does. It’s cuisine traditionnelle for this part of Normandy. There is no menu, as such; you go in through the bar, turn right and go through the door to the restaurant, and wait to be seated. You’ll be asked if you want an apéritif(oui/non), and then you’re fed good traditional local food. It’s all for 12 €(up from the 11 € at the web site), unless the apéritif is extra; about that I’m not sure. I didn’t see hours exactly, but they closed when we left around 20:30. The owners, Françoise and Denis(chef/bartender) Olive, are quite friendly, though they only speak French(which isn’t unreasonable, considering where they are). That’s not too much of a barrier, as the menu(above) is straightforward and the service good. The(Irish?) group there when we arrived didn’t seem to speak any French, but they seemed well pleased. I didn’t get a chance to try the bar, apart from the vin rouge and cidre that came with the meal(both good), but the little I saw suggested it’s popular with the locals.
