I couldn’t go to Paris and not pick up some macarons from Ladurée! I’m really glad they have a store in the Charles de Gaulle airport because I didn’t want to carry these fragile macarons on and off the taxi while simultaneously worrying about my luggage. The macarons are expensive(I think they end up being $ 2-$ 3USD per macaron) but Ladurée makes the most aesthetically pleasing macarons I have ever seen. Every single macaron looks so perfect in terms of size, shape, and color. I ended up getting the box of 20 macarons for € 42.80(ouch). In terms of taste, a macaron from your local bakery will probably be comparable to a macaron from Ladurée. I don’t think there was anything dramatically special about the taste/flavors. In terms of texture, I think that Ladurée is superior because the macarons have the perfect level of softness and chewiness. If I want to send macarons to someone as a gift, I will purchase them from Ladurée. For all other occasions, I will be purchasing the $ 1-$ 1.50 macarons from a local bakery.

We ordered the croque monsieur(avec truffles) and the french toast(pain perdu). AMAZING. We ordered a second order of pain perdu because it is the best we have EVERHAD in our lives. It’s a special kind of brioche bread that makes it incredible. We have had french toast all over the world — this is the one! So happy Laduree is at the airport! Leave some time because it’s at a regular restaurant pace(not airport pace).

I decided to go simple on this one and just had a club sandwich, the Ladurée club. It was as much as I ever paid for a club sandwich but it was excellent. Coffee and the marron was very nice. And of course the atmosphere is very tastefully elegant with a view of the goings on in the airport. When it came to pay, they tried using the old French trick of pretending that the credit card communication wasn’t going through and asked if I could pay cash. Being on a business trip, I refused. Miraculously, somehow, they got my card to work. This would definitely be 5 stars if it hadn’t been for this, which the manager of the place tried to do.

This Laduree is conveniently located at the Paris airport. So you can either try your 1st(those arriving) or last(those leaving) macaron fix. And surprisingly the macarons are actually the same price(a little over $ 2USD) as the ones found in other Laduree all over the city. Anyways, this Laduree actually has quite a selection, especially when I had thought this location would be so small since it is located at the airport. However I still find myself still finding macarons here still just average or standard. Sorry to say it but I really have had better tasting ones back in the States. But I do appreciate the different flavors that I have not seen anywhere else, like the basil flavored macaron. But I am open minded and hopeful for Laduree. I will have to try more of their macarons. But until then, 3 star rating for me… For now.

Oh my gosh… I’m a macaron fanatic and this hands down was the best macarons I’ve tasted in my life. I was about to leave Paris to go to Amsterdam and a friend suggested to go to this store. And I’m so glad I did! I bought the Marie Antoinette and pistachio flavour… It was the best macarons… I wish I bought more… Even my husband thought they were delicious. I wish they had laduree in Canada. I would go here everyday if I could.

This is what heaven must taste like. Do yourself a favor and eat just these macaroons… all others fall short.

Don’t waste your time standing in line if you go to the storefront– just go inside and pick up a mixed box in the restaurant on the right, they will all be delicious. Promise. Then –if you have a date, or even if you’re solo– do yourself a favor and pick up a split –or a full bottle if you like– of cold champagne, two flutes and a blanket. Find a sunny spot in a park, unroll your blanket and have a seat. Fill your glasses, open the box of macarons, have a toast and then have a taste — in that order. Revel in the magic that follows. You’re welcome.

As all other bakeries were closed, we tried this one and were pleased. We tried the one near the Pompadeau. The baguette was fresh, croissants fresh, flaky and buttery. We tried some pastries and they were good, but not great. The bonbons were fresh. Worth a try, and we have returned.

This review is for the Laduree kiosk that’s also in Terminal 2. We landed in T2, but didn’t see the store right away. So when we exited the gate, we asked where to find the shop and got directed to the cute macaron cart near the check-in counters. Before we ordered, we were asked if we were flying since the treats would be confiscated at security screening. We got 5 mini macarons for 1.70 € each. Thankfully in the San Francisco Bay Area, there are a lot of good options for French macarons. But I really enjoyed the unique flavors like the holiday marron poire(chestnut pear), raisin canelle(grape cinnamon), and caramel a la fleur de del(soft caramel with sea salt). We also had to get chocolate and coffee for good measure. We inhaled the macarons on the train back into the city.

Even though I had an hour and a half until my connection into Casablanca left, I hoofed it over to Laduree just in case there was going to be a line and… NOLINE! Got myself about five of these little beauties and tried to make them last. Major fail. Ate them all before my flight even boarded. All of them tasted fresh. Crisp and light merengue on the outside, slightly dense and chewy on the inside, the way macarons should be. Not too sweet or «sugary», and the flavors were aromatic, and spot on(as opposed to just«sweet»). Fleur de Sel was my favorite. Drool.

FIRST thing I ate getting off the plane in Paris at CDG after a flight from SFO. I was tired, starving, and hmm… what do we have here… little cookies? I’ll take 5. I tried their vanilla and chocolate(yes, I was going for trying the standard flavors! haha) and was blown away by both. I was NOT expecting anything spectacular since I was cranky from my flight, but these little treats actually cheered me up as I sat around for my 3 hour layover. I would recommend the chocolate over the vanilla, as that one had creamier and richer filling. Delicious!

Guess what? I got stranded again in a different airport while trying to make a connecting flight!!! As Matteo R. said, «La mia solita fortuna con le compagnie aeree»… SMH. This happens to me ALLTHETIME. This time it happened in CDG. After what happened to me in London last December, nothing surprises me anymore. At least it was only one night instead of 4 nights, thank goodness. One of the saving graces was discovering the Ladurée store in terminal 2 °F!!! Their macarons are so divine!!! Although I was almost running out of euros, I bought these pricey decadant macarons because I felt I deserved some treats to make myself feel happier. I looooove their vanilla macarons!!! Mmmmmmm!!! J’adooooore!!! 5 etoiles!!! You made my day!
