Enjoyed a very good meal at Côté Plages. Greeted by the very friendly staff and were seated promptly. After enjoying a tasty amuse-bouche consisting of finely diced olives and paired with French bread, we ordered appetizers. The calamari seemed prepared in advance as there was no evidence of hand breading. Same for the spring rolls. However once we moved onto the main courses things began to turnaround. I had a very well prepared whole red snapper in creole sauce completed with a side of fettuccine. My wife had a lasagne de mer — scallops, shrimp, and fish on a bed of lettuce. Ambiance was very chic and the service was attentive. Coupled with the coziness of the square it was spot on for an impromptu dinner in Orient Bay.
