Hotel Atrium

Cela fait maintenant deux fois que je vais à cet hôtel. Si vous avez affaire à La Défense, c’est un bon compromis.
Il n’est pas si cher, du moins pour une chambre simple. Et pas loin du quartier de La Défense justement. La ligne de Tram T2 y passé à 200m.
Bön par contre vous vous retrouvez à Suresnes, un quartier qui né bouge pas particulièrement on va dire. C’est pas le centre de Paris quoi.
L’hôtel en lui-​même semble récent ou alors rénové. La décoration est chic, la chambre très propre. L’accueil se fait via un petit pupitre, ce qui m’a fait un peu rigoler. Mais l’hôtesse elle, était très professionnelle et souriante.
En prenant l’ascenseur, on comprends l’origine du nom de l’hôtel. En effet une gigantesque baie vitrée tranche dans la façade du bâtiment et ouvre toute la partie centrale. On peut d’ailleurs y voir une superbe vue de Paris (si vous êtes du bon côté bien sûr, on a droit à la tour Eiffel depuis sa chambre).
Le petit déjeuner y est très correcte. On a la radio et plusieurs journaux sont disponible histoire d’être au courant des choses de bon matin.
C’est un hôtel très correct. On peut faire les réservations directement sur leur site.

For a very expensive hotel, this place is pretty bad and very not modernized.
Lobby: There’s always one person sitting at the tiny lobby manning the front desk. If you get a lazy dude, he just locks the front door and goes off somewhere to smoke and if you need to enter the hotel, you gotta ring the doorbell.
Key: one card key per room chained to a giant metal key fob that you give back to the person at the front desk when you leave the hotel. Sometimes the card doesnt work and he’d have to reprogram it
Room: no AC, they give you a fan.
Bathroom: the shower courtain is too long and nastily brown and mouldy at the bottom. The walls along the bathtub are also moulded.
Wireless: you have to ask the front desk for a username and password, both of which consist of a bunch of random capital and lower case letters and numbers. The code only works on one machine so if you have multiple gadgets like your phone, you’d have to ask for more codes. Not that you need to, since the wifi sucks so much that NO WEBPAGES LOAD. I don’t know what type of weird proxy they use there, but skype and skype video works great, but you can’t use any http sites.
Room Service and Restaurant: What kind of hotel only has restaurants that open Monday to Thursday from 7pm to 10pm and same with room service?!
Location: not very good. It’s good enough that it’s right beside the Tram, but it’s away from the downtown with all the restaurants and shops and sits on a forlorn hill with nothing around it.
