When I write a review about kind, generous people who went above and beyond, I’m always scared of sending a crowd of people demanding a level of service that’s unrealistic for a crowd of hungry people. That said, it’s hard to hold back when an establishment should get a lot of attention.
James and Stéphanie, American and French, respectively, run the café and are as friendly and kind as people come. Not only that, my wife and I got ACTUAL FILTERED COFFEE and SCRAMBLED EGGS for breakfast. During the meal, fast wifi and good conversation… after the meal, one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had in a while.
I can’t recommend this place enough, both for hungry locals looking for a slice of warm hospitality and lost travelers needing to vent their frustrations about train strikes. Well, you know, hypothetically.
