For the price, pretty decent. Five euros for a sandwich plus some fries, eight or nine for the plates described in the earlier review. Cleanliness standards a bit different than North American, but as long as you are OK with that, you should leave happy. Decent amount of meat, fries decent too(not classic steak frites but more conventional style).

A short walk from the Gare Rive Droite train Station in Versailles, you will find«Au Palais des Halles» serving hot sandwiches and plates. It’s hard to describe these kinds of restaurants because they don’t really exist in the United States. They are found all over Paris, and are a mix of North African/Greek cheap fast food. Kinda like a gyro, but with(in my opinion) better seasoned lamb, and more meats to chose from. The sandwiches are served in a pita and include fries, and your choice of sauces(Ketchup, mayo, harissa, «white sauce», etc…) Meats to chose from: –Lamb. It is carved from a rotating spit. –Merguez(spicy Moroccan sausage) –Chicken. –Falafel. The plates offer the same choices, but in bigger portions and include vegetables. I also saw couscous on the menu. Cheap, filling, and delicious.
