The restaurant, located next to the château de Versailles, has been around for years and seems to consistently do a great job. The owner is welcoming and makes sure you enjoy your meal; the atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting and stylishly Oriental. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, multiple kinds of Tajines, Couscous and Kebabs. We had the couscous Royal with chicken, lamb, merguez(a spicy sausage), meatball and of course everything else to make a perfect couscous. It was delicious and the owner made sure we had plenty of veggies and semolina, bringing us more, even though we really did not need it. We ended the meal with a selection of Oriental pastries which were also very good. This was a perfect meal, I definitively will go back when in Versailles.

I’d been bouncing about Europe for a few days at this point, and although I had enjoyed most everything I’d eaten so far, I couldn’t help but feel that I didn’t think I had really had a truly satisfying, filling meal. Call it being a fat American missing my big fat American portions, but I didn’t feel like I had eaten myself to a nice full sense of contentment. When I saw the size of the plate of couscous and the size of the pot of stew brought to my table, I knew I had found salvation. Chez Tiouiche was a place I found because I had a planned trip out to see Versailles, and I wanted to have at least one good meal while I was out there, instead of waiting to go back to Paris. It’s barely a block away from the main gates of Versailles, easy to walk to from the RER station or perhaps after an afternoon of walking around the Palace grounds. It’s not a large establishment by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s a cozy homey feeling Moroccan restaurant. Being so close to a major tourist destination like Versailles, it was no surprise that the server I had could speak English and there was no real communication problem. But back to the food, so I ordered couscous with the option to get a sampler of all four of their meats: lamb, sausage, meatball and chicken. Typically, I’m not that big of a fan of lamb, but Chez Tiouiche made a believer out of me; their lamb was super tender and fell right off the bone. If anything at all, I made sure to eat all of the meat like the carnivore I am. Ultimately, I did quite a number on the couscous itself, but the portion was simply too large, and I had to tap out and leave some food on the table. Overall, Chez Tiouiche was great. The location was convenient for my tourist agenda, the cost at first seemed a little high, but the portion sizes are relative to what you pay for, and the quality of the food was magnificent. Service was friendly and English-speaking which made it easier for me. Highly recommend this place.

Unbelievably great service and food. The lemon chicken tagine was divine, but all of the cous cous dishes were outstanding. As has been mentioned the service here is as fine as you will receive anywhere in the world. I hosted a business dinner here and everyone in our 6-member party agrees with me and couldn’t stop talking about it the entire rest of the trip.

With service this good nothing can go wrong. The food was nice, atmosphere good and placement excellent for dropping in after a walk around the Versaille. Went fairly early not knowing much about the place soon it filled and a family vibe formed with the service making sure you eat up!

after a couple days in Paris for the holidays I was craving a little exotic cuisine, my girlfriend and I met up with my(french) family for some Moroccan and were not disappointed! we sat right away at 7:30 for our 8:30 reservation because no one was there, and by 8:10 the place was PACKED. great energy, the owner guy walking around clapping all the guests on the back(waiters a bit scattered, but really pleasant). we basically shared a pile of couscous and bowl of the vegetable sauce for each of our entrees of spicy sausage and roasted lamb. the bottle of sparkling rose was delicious and complimented the entire dinner. when we were leaving the owner insisted we take a shot of some kind of clear liqueur, and we happily obliged! there are plenty of places to have dinner after a day at Versailles, definitely consider this one
