Authentic. Where locals eat. Yet charmingly welcoming of the Francais language-​challenged Americans, this is a delightful peak into a world not of the Cordon-​Bleu, nor of Julia Child, but charmingly provincial and of the five in our family, not one came away wanting for a more satisfying lunch. The wine list is just passable, but the food is pleasing in appearance and taste as a meal of the pays.
In addition the town is the home of copper (cuivre) pots and before or after lunch shopping is delightful. At lunch you’ll have to compete for a table with the locals. Isn’t that the point?
