Le Palais du Maharadja

Très bon accueil et beau lieu même si d’extérieur cela semble peu attrayant.
Peu d’attente et plats excellents, serveurs attentionnés sans être collants, enfin un vrai restaurant indien authentique et surtout très bon !
Je conseil vivement, la carte permet une grande variété de choix et d’assortiments qui feront votre bonheur ! J’y suis allé sur le conseil d’un ami et je fais donc suivre le message ! A fortement conseillé

I’ve eaten at Le Palais du Maharadja in Chaville on several occasions while on holiday in France over the last month and I haven’t been disappointed. We chose this Restaurant due to its walking-​distance proximity to where we’re staying in Chaville. As lovers of Indian food, finding ourselves staying near this restaurant was in a small way serendipitous.
They’ve treated our children well and were very patient with my not-​very-​advanced French, and they have even been willing to speak some English, though from my perspective it’s better to force me to get by badly in French than communicate easily in English, as I learn much more that way. However for most natives of the Anglosphere this will be a good thing indeed as we are spoiled by the sheer number of people who speak our language abroad, which we do not often reciprocate.
The food has always been good though never great. Perhaps it’s a different or even more authentic style of cooking Indian food (I claim ignorance on this point) but I’ve found it lacking in a certain sweetness I find in most other other Indian cooking, but this is a very minor complaint. The Cheese Nan is excellent, which the kids find to be very tasty. We’ve sampled Butter Chicken, various dishes of lamb, and I believe a chicken or lamb Punjab which was excellent.
One word of warning, if you have more than one young child, you may want to consider splitting one Menu Enfant rather than ordering one for each — the amount of food on one plate is enormous. We fed all three with one Menu Enfant.
They also do doggie bags, which I find endearing in a land where this generally looked down upon. I must confess not understanding why it is better to throw food away than eat it later though, so my compliments for going against the grain on this one.
I do recommend Le Palais du Maharadja.

Première visite ce soir chez mon nouveau voisin, le restaurant indien de Viroflay «le Palais du Maharadja».
J’ai bien aimé la déco, à la fois discrète et dans les teintes «indiennes». La musique est présente mais discrète, comme une petite touché en plus pour affiner l’atmosphère indienne.
Les plats sont copieux et très bons. Et le service est très sympathique sans être familier (les conseils sur les plats «épicés» ou non est toujours très précieux dans les restaurants indiens !).
Au final, une très chouette soirée, un moment agréable dans une douce ambiance indienne, et une addition très raisonnable (entrée + plat + riz + cheese nan + bière indienne = 25 euros) pour un repas qui aurait vraiment mérité d’être allégé tant les portions des plats sont copieuses (la prochaine fois, je né prendrai pas d’entrée).
Il y a aussi des menus (moins de 20 euros le midi, ou bien 23 ou 37 euros le soir).
Le Palais du Maharadja propose également des plats à emporter (mais pas de livraison à domicile semble-​t-​il).
Je garde cette adresse précieusement, et prévois déjà d’y retourner très vite !
