I’ve been to En Japanese a couple of times. The first time was with friends of mine. We were seated, drinks were ordered but we didn’t get them for almost ten minutes. When we ordered our food, it came quickly and we enjoyed it. They have a good lunch selection. Their salmon roll was quite impressive as they were quite generous with the salmon — unlike other places. The second time I went there was with my parents and my cousin. It took almost 15 mins for our server to take our drinks order. My dad enjoys their udon so we patiently sat through the poor service. Our food order wasn’t taken till our second fill of our drinks. They forgot my order and had to rush it. I’ll give it to them that they have good food, but their service seriously needs improvement. I won’t be returning to this restaurant again.

The food was really good but what made it better was the service, the waiter«Cam» always goes above and beyond with service and I’ll continue to go there not only for the good food but the service.

Love this restaurant! I had the Teriyaki Chicken Salad and it was awesome! Worth the price.

I was really looking forward to coming back hear. I first came here in December 2014. Came back in July 2015 and had the worst dinning experience in a long time. Most importantly the food was awful, they had made portions smaller which is ok, but the quality was awful. They had served my families meal 20 minutes ahead of mine and when they finally served my meal it was incomplete. I had asked the waitress several times and the said it was coming right up. 20 minutes later they served the rest of the meal, 3 slices of sashimi. I would understand if they were busy, but the restaurant was a 1⁄3 full. Bad quality, an idiot of a manager and over priced bad food, really, They should call this place END. I hope the owner reads this as when I was hear in December visiting Guam we went here every other day. And the damn flys really, they probably had more intelligence and tasted better. Change your fryer oil, your tonkatsu is almost black and stale tasting cause your oil is to old.

Food was good, not great. There is much better Japanese food in the area. It felt like a westernized Japanese restaurant. The service was a bit slow. We had to ask for our refills more than once. We had the tonkatsu(fried pork tenderloin). Like I said earlier the food really was good. I just think you are missing out on some other gems in the area by going here.

Went here for lunch today with my girlfriends and restaurant was decent looking. The waitstaff greeted me right away as I walked in. The lunch prices were about $ 14 and up. These are the lunch set which is similar to bento boxes. It comes with rice, salad, and soup. I ordered the fried chicken which is also known as karage. I figured I’ll try out this karage and compare to benii. I wasn’t impress with it. The batter wasn’t fried all the way. The chicken was fatty. I also ordered shrimp sushi roll and the roll was placed on top of a sauce that smelled spoiled. I lost my appetite after smelling it. I’m sure it ain’t spoiled. It was probably the sauce mix. Made me want to gag. Lol. My gfs ordered chicken teriyaki with sashimi and the assorted sushi roll. The rolls looked good and they loved it! My food was okay. I should have ordered something else. I’m rating this place 3 stars cause I didn’t think the food was all great but if you like raw fish and I’m sure this place is great with the reaction from my gfs. The service is okay throughout the lunch. I ordered shrimp tempura and they charge $ 2 per shrimp. Wow! The shrimp tempura isn’t anything special compared to other Japanese restaurants. I’m sure there are other Japanese restaurants out there are better. If I were to choose this place or benii then I’d go with benii for food but as for service I’d go with this place. Which is more important? Hmmmm? Tough to decide. Lol. I prefer sticking to a Japanese buffet. Maybe the Hyatt or Lotte. I heard the buffet is really good at these hotels. Still have to check them out.

Awesome… Until the bad fish hits you in the middle of the night. Had dinner there. We were pretty impressed with the prices, service, and food. We shared the spicy edemame for an app. Hubby had the dynamite mussels special and and a variety plate for dinner. I had the green salad and the fire role. It was all fantastic. Except that we sat outside in the dark and could barely see our food. The fish in my fire role must have been bad because it did not sit well later on in the evening. I wish we never went. :(

Food was just ok, had to ask for chopsticks, silverware, spoons for soup, and I had to go to another table to get soy sauce, and pepper stuff. we had to work to hard for dinner i gave them 3 star just to be fair, but would have only give 2 star because of their auto gratuity policy, will not be back because of that…

I’ve been coming back every 4 to 6 weeks. Consistently good. The best value on the menu is the ‘Teriyaki BBQ Trio’ for $ 16. Seems I’m always finding something different on the menu.

Clean restaurant with good atmosphere by design. Service was a bit slow and inattentive(keeping drinks filled and the like). Food however was fantastic. Wife had a combo box with short ribs, and I had the local caught wahoo. Food was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were blown away by the flavor in everything, even the miso soup was packed full of flavor. Great place to eat in Tumon!

The food at En is very inconsistent. I come here quite a few times because we’ve experienced delicious food but that’s not what I always get. I believe the food portion is very small for the price you pay. Also service at this restaurant takes FOREVER. I feel as if there is no acting manager around to overlook server quality. It takes hours to get a refill and we even put by the end of the table for them to see. I also ordered a hot udon and waited over 45min for it. When I asked the waiter, he simply said it was on it’s way(It looked as if they forgot to punch the order in). Overall if you catch them on a good day, the food is great. If not, expect to be dissapointed with the price you pay for low quality food.

The food, great! Fresh, fresh, fresh sushi! The waiter, most excellent! The price, decent. $ 77 for a family of four. The restaurant opened 5 min late. The hostess and manager had complete«bitch face» on the whole night. Overall, satisfied.

Pros: The food all around tasted really good. I got the spicy teriyaki plate. The chicken was delicious with the spicy sauce on top was amazing. The sashimi and soup was also good. Cons: The plate wasn’t really a composed dish. Maybe I’m ignorant of how to eat everything, but there is a tiny little plate with lettuce which was random. Also another tiny plate with chopped up chicken/onion. Also the service was pretty slow and we were waiting for our check but didn’t know that we pay up front. All in all, the food was good, the service could have been a little better but I would recommend it and would go back.

Good food! Nice décor and friendly staff. Their bento sets are great and you’ll definitely get full! I love their tempura, very crispy. Their sushi sampler is great too if you can’t decide which roll to get. I only wish they’d give you two of each instead of one for a second taste. The food came out erratically though and I wish they’d all come out at once. All in all, still a great place to check out.

Late Post: Was here during our vacation on Guam in Sept ’14. We had an extended family dinner. They accommodated us just fine with a private room, which was great since we had four young kids who can be quite loud. Food was good, Service was fine.

I remember when this place was being built a couple years back. I first went there based off a recommendation. This place is pretty darn delicious. I used to always get the Teriyaki Chicken, blew my socks off the first time. Now its a must have.

Great selection and food. I have been there numerous times and have yet to be disappointed. The prices are a bit pricey but not that far off from other similar restaurants. The service is also great! You wont be disappointed!

This was our lunch back up, especially since they’re open until 3 pm for lunch. Upon entering we noted a mix of locals and tourists. We ordered the lunch combo bentos. The food is good, service is a little slow. It is a bit expensive, but worth a try.
