We were staying in a nearby B&B and drove down into the town, parked and went walking around town. After stopping in a couple of different places went went into O’Rourke’s. I am glad we made the stop. I would describe it as somewhat divey but I almost prefer that, it gives the place character. Walking in I almost felt like I was in an Irish version of «Cheers». But everyone, bar staff and patrons, were so nice to us and sat and talked with us, answered questions and turned us onto the Irish national sport, hurling. I will have to stop there again on my next visit to Ireland
