Robert Mullan

As the editor of the History Teachers’ Association of Ireland’s newsletter I needed a photographer. Robert provided the coverage for our Annual Conference, held this year in Malahide. Rather than doing the usual ‘line-​ups’, Robert documented the occasion perfectly. We didn’t realise he was actually shooting photographs during the keynote speech and yet he provided us with a set of pictures that told the story of the event so well. We got marvellous studies of Prof Hugh Gough, our keynote speaker, as well as memorable candid photographs of the audience. We had such a variety of images to work from we were able to create a striking montage that was the centrepiece of our latest issue. I would recommend Robert without hesitation and look forward to booking him for next year’s conference in Killarney.
