Fossetts Circus

I read somewhere that Fossett’s is facing closure and after the performance I saw the other night I’m not surprised. Yes it’s great that they don’t have animals (other than a horse doing dressage and a couple of ponies) but they also have no outstanding performers. I went to the Circus of the Streets in London this year and that was absolutely outstanding and I couldn’t take my eyes off the great variety of performances from aerial acrobatics to fire eaters, to jugglers of hats, hula hoops and more. Fossetts on the other hand used the same performers over and over and I found myself becoming bored very quickly. Even the clown Otto had no personality and built absolutely no raport with the crowd, in fact he seemed to be only there to fill in the small gap between performances.
What worsened it for me was the fact that after 3 aerial acts (all very similar) they rolled out the € 3 face-​painting and € 2 pony rides boards. Everyone seemed very bored to be there and only interested in our money and not ensuring we actually had a good time.
