Stumbled upon this place on a cold miserable day; it was such a typical irish country pub… Walked in the door, few men sitting around the bar, horse racing on the TV and the mandatory ‘your not from around here look’ There was a stove burner in the corner and as soon as we walked in we could smell the turf burning, it was the perfect stop off! We made ourselves cosy in front of the stove, the barman came over and added more turf so yeah, it’s a place on a cold winters day where ye’d just sit there all day, read the newspaper, sip over a few pints and just zone out. Barman was friendly, brought drinks to the table and also helped us with directions :-) As we were driving it was unfortunately just the one we stopped in for but would have stayed longer had the car not been with us.
