Been there once with my loved one for our unofficial first date so this place means a lot for me. Their Vietnamese foods are really nice and tasty too. Hope to come back one more time soon!!!

This is a great little Thai spot in Blackrock. They do some really good noodle dishes and soups which are lovely. I personally like the Singapore noodles. They have separate lunch and dinner menus so the prices are really good especially during lunch hours. I have always gotten my orders very fast and the staff are brilliant. The dining area is a bit small so it’s probably not so good for groups but normally I call ahead and order then just pop in to collect it.

Today I decided to try Diep for the first time. I had never had Thai food before. I went at lunchtime, and ordered Singapore noodles. I was able to have it without veg which I was delighted about! My take-away was ready in about 5 minutes. My meal came in a little white box. At first I thought it looked very small, but it turned out to be FAR too much food. I could only eat half. But it was so delicious. I saved the other half for later! Overall I think my meal was great value at € 6.95, and it was quick and very tasty. I will be recommending it to my friends and family. I can’t wait to get Diep again and try something new!

Poor quality food, simply put. I have never had such tough chicken as I had tonight. Quite expensive too for what we got. It casts doubt on the sources of their food. The taste was also bland, vegetables were over cooked. The staff were friendly, that’s the only positive, I’m afraid I won’t be back, at least for a while, used to like the food from Diep. Don’t know what’s happened?

Best take away I’ve had in ages! I’m not a big take away lover, but thought I would give Diep a whirl on Saturday night and oh mama it was good! What I loved: — How«wet» my Singapore noodles where! Sometimes they can come really dry and Megan isn’t a fan of that! — Portion size was huge! 2 meanfor 1! — Extra sauce. We got 3 extra sauces with our order(that was one sauce per dish). — Fancy prawn crackers. They aren’t those white ones you get at the Chinese, no no, these are the pink fancy kind that taste a million times better! — The price! We got chicken satay skewers, prawn crackers and 2 mains for 30 quid. I say that’s decent! What I didn’t like: — It took an hour to get to deliver! But it was a Saturday night after all so I can forgive and forget! All in all, I REALLY enjoyed my meal here! Fresh, tasty and plentiful! Cannot wait to order again!

My previous experience of Diep at home — some 5 years ago was not a good one… hence the 5 year gap. However, 5 years on I was in Blackrock, hungry and with a hankering for Thai, so myself and family ordered and hoped for the best. …and indeed the best is what we got, I had the red curry which was excellent, wifey and junior had Yellow curry which also went down a treat. We got a combo box for a starter — it included some very odd dried out looking pork belly. It was lovely! really, very much worth trying! All in all, it was a revisit worth making, we’ll be back.

Singapore noodles are all i ever get here and I never tire of it. Can be pricey but 9 times out of 10 its worth it. Recommend collection to save on the couple € delivery as it can also take up to an hour to arrive. Solid take away

If you can’t make it to Bangkok for some street food, get your bangin’ Thai food fix rom Diep instead. It’s a great take away and gives the impression at least of being a healthy option. Huge selection for vegetarians and fairly decent for coeliac sufferers too. If you’re close to Blackrock or any of he branches, it’s best I find to go pick it up rather than order. Virtuous, Tasty and Won’t clean out your coin purse.

Being a regular customer of diep, I usually find the food to be very good. My lastest order, the yalan gai, however, was completely inedible. Each bite consisted of either a large chunk of ginger or one of the numerous cardamon pods left in the curry which should have been removed. It was bad enough to never want me to order from here again. A strong distaste for diep will linger after this order for this customer.

Diep in Blackrock has been a disappointment time and time again. It has some fantastic menu items and some lovely people working there, but unfortunately, I have been let down by the quality of both food and service once too often to allow myself to return. What i will say in its defence is that whenever I walked in or called on the phone, I found the staff to be polite and helpful. Also, many of the menu items are quite tasty, but one too many regrettable experiences have ruined it for me. My most recent visit was a few months ago, when included among my meal was a completely unflavoured unseasoned piece of chicken instead of my order of satay. Usually we would have probably forgotten about this, but considering all but one of the 5 dishes we ordered was bland and tasteless, we rang up, just to let them know about the lack of sauce. The girl who answered was very pleasant, offerring us a replacement or a refund, but before she could finish, her manger took the phone away to inform us that the satay chicken now comes like that«to facilitate people with peanut allergies» which came across like an on-the-spot excuse to me. Especially considering the dish was completely unflavoured. The manager of the establishment was blunt and dismissive in a way that most restauranteurs would never dare be towards a patron, which left me disappointed enough with Diep. This experience combined with a few other bad ones and some less that appetising previous orders give Diep Blackrock a very poor personal association for me.

When it comes to Thai food, I’m a bit fussy, you rarely come across an amazing one in my eyes, but Diep is pretty good. As a young lad, I lived off noodles, but not actual noodles, the kind that came in a plastic pack and tasted of salt and glass. Since then I’ve only really liked proper, real noodles. Diep actually has real noodles. Their dishes are nutritious and sprinkled with an array of interesting asian veggies. Good value too!

I am coming tot he end of a long day… i am very hungry and there is some Diep on the way. So far… the phones were quite busy on this a Saturday night… but they were very nice on the phone when we did get through. Diep is a noodle bar specialising in Taiwanese stir frys and all that jazz… They have an ultra modern look and the take-away places are hip and cool looking. My mum says its very trendy…

Diep at home is a step up from your average thai or Chinese take away/delivery joint. I guess you could even go so far as to say it’s a posh take away! Deip at home is like the little sister of the already established Diep le shaker and Diep noodle bar, before the owners decided to branch out with two Diep at home’s — the second being in Ranelagh. They do everything from noodles, curries, soups, salads, fried rices as well as various daily specials. I love the krabi Bangkok street food special and as a side, try the delicious roast cashew nuts with chilli, honey and spring onion. Mmm. All mains vary between € 10 – 12 so it is a little more expensive than your average takeaway but if you feel like having a treat at the weekend then why not?
