It’s a Starbucks so it’s very so so, but I’m giving this one an extra star and a review because of it’s amazing view of Dublin bay. Sit out on the balcony on a sunny day and you’re in heaven. No, if only the coffee was better than average.

Not a big fun of Starbucks but I like this shop in specific because of the lovely view. Nothing else to say, inside it is just like that other Starbucks across Starbucks, beside Starbucks.

This Starbucks location has got to be my favorite global location. I am not sure you can get much better of a view. The front of the building maintains the décor of the remainder of the store fronts of Main Street. They actually retained the front of what used to be the old Blackrock post office. It is the back of the building which is so spectacular. A balcony and large glass windows overlooking Dublin bay and Howth in the distance. Such a beautiful place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The inside was renovated to be modern and actually looks much like every other Starbucks although they do have decent seating space. People are friendly and this is a hard place to pass by without a stop if you are in the Blackrock area.

Great, fast, efficient. I just wish they had the Java Chip frap in Europe :-(

Staff has changed, while still friendly, the cleaning of tables has slipped. There are 6 around me that have been left for over 30 minutes. Fantastic views and free Wifi remain but maybe time to find a new haunt.

Starbucks is Starbucks is Starbucks and, as Starbucks’ go, this one ain’t too bad at all, especially if you get a seat on the balcony with a view out to Howth and beyond… only marking down a bit as my latte was hot, too hot to drink at first.

if I ever go to starbucks it’s down to two options. a chocolate cream frappucino or a flat white. It’s depending on how much money I have to be honest! If you have atleast € 5 a frappucino is the greatest thing to ever be on this earth! well second to burritos of course… but if you only have 2 € defiantly get a flat white! great energy booster and tasty too!

As with any Starbucks I wouldn’t be rushing there! I feel for what it is the coffee costs too much. It’s not the best coffee you’ll get in Blackrock and certainly not the cheapest! I like going to more chic and less generic places but I would still go now and again! Free WiFi and comfy seats are good though The building is cool — the old Blackrock post office and the Staff are the usual starbucks friendly.

The staff are extremely friendly, and really try to learn your name and order even after only coming in a couple of times. The coffee is good as expected, and so are the sandwiches and treats they have. It’s a pretty spacious Starbucks too and is really good for studying and writing papers, which is why I spent so many entire days hanging out in the place. The big difference with this Starbucks though is the view. The backside of this place is all glass windows overlooking Dublin Bay from Blackrock, and is really peaceful and beautiful to sit near if you can get a seat. They also have a deck outside back there so people can smoke, or not smoke, while they have their coffee and enjoy the view. PS, it also overlooks the Blackrock DART station and a bus stop so if you’re into people watching it’s pretty good for that too.

Great view, really friendly staff(a massive improvement on what it was like a few years’ ago), great atmosphere, nice coffee & staple starbucks fair. Also free wifi is nice. Only problems: sometimes not enough seating(particularly the comfy sofas), an absolute dearth of sockets for power hungry laptops, & the outdoor seating area faces north so is almost always shaded.

I have been to many Starbucks, but this one is different. It is in an old converted post office and the building has much more character than many of the new ones. It is very spacious and has ample seating available. Even if you don’t normally like Starbucks, this one does stand out enough to warrant a visit.

Pretty typical Starbucks offering a great view of Dublin Bay, though you have to contend with smokers, blech! This is by far the largest Starbucks that I’ve been to in Dublin or any other city for that matter. The selection of sandwiches and pastries is good and just like any successful worldwide food chain, the coffee tastes like good ‘ol Starbucks. Bonus points for the Dublin Bay view and it being situated in an old Post Office with an historic store front. **Tip** Free WiFi if you register a Starbucks card online.

I’m quite fond of the Blackrock Starbucks. If you’ve missed a DART and feeling like acting the bollix, pop up, grab a coffee, sit down and watch the miserable sods on the platform below you drown in torrential rain while you sit high in your tower of dark roast gluttony. I have a few problems with the Starbucks brand itself, in that the coffee is actually only mediocre and that it’s way overpriced. € 3.10 for a venti americano? Not even a second shot of espresso? And who says venti anyway? Can’t we just say large? It’s a really cool coffee shop, I just curse myself when I realise I’ve spent my DART fare on my comically sized coffee, which I’ve spilled all over myself, running for the DART.

Seemingly this place has become the hang out of choice for yummy mummies, business types and posh local secondary school students. Oh yes, Starbucks has landed in main street Blackrock. Now I’m usually fundamentally averse to frequenting your corporate mega-monster type establishments of the world, but I have found myself using this Starbucks as a convenient meeting point on a couple of occasions(brand recognition wins again — oh the irony). So the interior is nice and bigger than you’d expect. It has comfortable leather couches and it’s not too gaudy, to give the place its due. Coffee is same old same old. The staff look a bit stressed. Basically nothing to write home about. To use a commonly cited complaint of Starbucks, it really doesn’t have much soul, and this branch is no exception.

I know we all know what Starbucks is like, but I had to write a review about the one in Blackrock. It’s in the old Post Office building on Main St Blackrock in the village and the building is really lovely. They’ve kept the original front wall from the post office, so it has a real original look. It’s a big open space indoors — really light and airy and out the back it has a deck overlooking the dart station and the sea. It has all the usual coffees, frappucino’s, drinks and cakes, but what makes it different is the building. You have to try it.
