Beautiful place, cozy and well-appointed in a 200 year old building. The staff is helpful and the locals at the bar are an absolute delight. If you happen upon Eamon, buy him a drink– you won’t regret talking to him!

We drive around Ireland for about 800 kilometers in 8 days. Barley Inn offered the best dinner and beautiful authentic Irish music. Corned beef dish was the most tender and delicious corned beef I ever had. The restaurant had a friendly, cozy environment and great hosts. The musicians played wonderful Irish music, and taught some of the guests Irish folk dance.

Great expedient friendly service and amazing ambiance. Seems like a very local eatery. Pub with typical beer choices and the back has diner tables next to an actual fire place.

Really great ! We got warm and cozy as we sat close to the fire. I got the Stuffed Chicken which was great and the others got the Cottage Pie. The chicken had a super tasty soft but perfectly crispy skin with amazingly seasoned stuffing with a plate of potatoes, broccoli and carrots. And the few bites of the cottage pie I had were quiet grand.

It’s a nice place, relaxing atmosphere. My wife was very happy with the music selection of 80’s mixed with some Michael Buble. The food was great too. The vegetable soup was good(I was suffering a cold at the time, and this really hit the spot for me.) She had the Mussels, and was amazed at the huge portion she received. We split the half-roast chicken for the entrée. It was good, and with the sides(potatoes and carrots) it was enough for both of us. The service was a little slow, but overall a nice experience.

The atmosphere is charming and traditional, with at least 3 open fires. The food was excellent and we really appreciate that they carry Irish microbrews. They even had Black Rock Stout from Dungarvan Brewing Co. on tap when we were there. We also tried an Irish Craft cider that was the freshest tasting cider I’ve ever had. My O’Flynn’s sausage and mash was the perfect comfort food for a blustery evening. The staff were wonderful. I would definitely make reservations for weekends. We are going back soon when Dungarvan’s Coffee and Oatmeal Stout is on tap!

Good small country pub about 10 minutes from Blarney. Excellent food served in bar and resturant areas and also a garden area to enjoy you food and drink on the warmer days. Traditional rather than trendy; no-rush rather than fast-food. Generally better to reserve a table for evenings, especially at weekend. Staff helpful and genuinely friendly. check their website for more info

This pub is a great place just to stop for a drink or to have a leisurely lunch. It is located only five minutes from Blarney on the R579, set in pleasant countryside with a river at the bottom of the garden. It is a traditional, family run establishment whose owners offer a warm welcome and it is no surprise that the pub and restaurant has won numerous awards. Local produce is apparent on the menu which ranges from bar snacks through to a la carte dining in the evening. Irish music evenings held from May to September. Children welcome until 7pm. The food has always been good when we have visited and nothing is too much trouble.
