Beautiful grounds and interesting interior; however, ten euro to see five rooms is a bit much to ask for this tour. Too many people and insufficient staff accounted for lack of organization /coordination and cramped spaces.(I was chastised for nearly knocking a priceless vase over with my jacket; however, this is what happens when too many visitors are crammed into a room…) The one cool thing is that a family member actually gave the tour. Of course, there are bits of interesting information and history to walk away with; but, overall it was lacking. Unfortunately, the last room we viewed was the ‘big sell’ to get visitors to book their events there. Take a walk on the external grounds, it’s a much better self-guided tour and it’s generally free. Borris House itself is not worth ten euro in my opinion; however, if the entry price is lowered a bit, you may enjoy it.
