The Step House

I am only reviewing the dining at The Step House, because I have never stayed in the hotel.
This is a gem of a place, and completely unexpected. You would almost walk past it when passing though the pretty village of Borris, as the hotel is a typical 19^th century Irish townhouse in a typical one-​main-​street-​and-​a-​few-​side-​streets Irish village.
Word-​of-​mouth has reached me several times about The Step House, so we called in for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was fully booked so we ate in the bar, which is really nice anyway. The have the same menu there as the restaurant.
I’m going to review fully when I go back and check out the restaurant, but my meal there was really, really, *really* spot-on.The kitchen is clearly of a really high standard, and I can’t wait to go back and get the full experience.
