I am deathly afraid of dentists but the staff here are so friendly and reassuring that you feel(almost!) at ease. The surgery is in an old Victorian building looking right out onto the seafront in Bray so there are amazing views from the chair to distract you. Dr. Smith recently won an award for being Ireland’s most sensitive dentist and it was definitely well-deserved. She’s friendly, easy-going and sympathetic to nerves. I’d say it would be a great surgery to bring children to. What I found most helpful was that she explains everything that she is going to do and what the different tools are so that there are no unpleasant surprises or unexpected torture instruments appearing in front of your face. There is also the option of sedation available if you really can’t stick it.
