This place is very average pub grub — good portions and a nice atmosphere, but don’t be fooled & order anything more exotic than their carvery or chicken & chips. The food is good once you stick within these limitations. Maybe i’m just spoiled for choice in the gastro-pubs in Dublin…

Called in with my wife on the way home to Dublin from Wexford. The restaurant was beautiful inside and very busy for a Sunday night. The staff were welcoming and helpful and constantly attentive. Once seated we had drinks and menus within minutes and the rapid service had us eating after a very short while. The pints of Guinness were top quality pity the wife was driving so could not partake. The set menus were € 15 each and of great variety and the quality of the food was very high. The food was so plentiful we had to take our deserts away in polystyrene doggy bags provided by the staff.
Jack White’s is exceptional value and we will make a point of being back sooner rather than later.

I love Britta’s Bay beach so I’ve been to Jack Whites a few times. The first times I liked it but the last two times I was disappointed by their food (once in May and now in June).
So I’m not sure if they have a new chef or cut backs or if I was just unlucky with my choice but the special taste of their food is gone and I found my food both times rather bland.
I’ll most likely give them another chance but for now go for 3 stars.

A lovely stop off, along the N11… especially if you are travelling to or from Wexford (which i was). The food is tasty and the service is quick. From the outside you would expect an old fashioned Irish bar, with fire and old antique items hanging on the wall but the interior is bright, spacious and refreshing. It’s a all round nice bar.
Would i go out of my way to visit it… maybe not!

My mothers review: Great food, great price, great service!
Went here again today, and it was just as good as the last time. My mother really loved the Hunter’s Chicken.
While the Scampi left a bit to be desired, everything else on the 3 course meal for € 14.95 was great, including the service.
I suggest you try the Garlic Mushroom Philidelphia… they are delish!
