Not my typical Irish resturant experience. Our server was flaky so she kept forgetting basics like utensils, napkins, pints. But the fish soup was CRAZY good! Full of fresh seafood w less broth and ample flavor. The fried mushrooms lacked flavor. The chips were average. The brown bread was good. The pints cold. Again, outdoor seating was full of smokers & crass students & the bar was full of rugby devotees.

The two reviewers before me got it spot on, but with thousands of pubs in Ireland, this one is, well, A-OK. Sandwiches are ok. Beer is ok, same as everywhere else. People watching? Only if you sit outside. Inside, you get to watch tv and the serving women serve. Service is brusque, and my Guinness was actually forgotten since Guinness cannot be poured once, it has to be poured more than once. Until the foam subsides enough so that you can get more of that lovely elixir into the glass. Yeah, so they were busy and really don’t care so much probably because there are so many tourists here. Like me. Oh well.

This is a good place to go for lunch and people watch. We came here for lunch a few days ago. It was a lovely day so we could not get a table outside. Some stand out items to order are as follows: Fried chicken salad Curry Chicken Club Sandwich Ham and Chesse Sandwich The service was nonexistent after our meals arrived but the food was good. Definitely check this place out if in the area. Enjoy!

A great place to grab a pint and sit outside watching the comings and goings of locals and tourists in Cashel. All the usual brews on tap — Guinness, Smithwick’s, Carlsberg, Budweiser, Bulmer’s, and a bit unexpectedly… Harp. 3.80 € for a pint of Smithwick’s.
