SuperValu Celbridge is a relatively new supermarket on the Dublin Road just a couple minutes drive from Celbridge village. They are located right beside the new Apple Green Filling station and in fact if your shopping bill comes to € 50 they give you a voucher which you can redeem at Apple Green and get 5 cents off per litre. When SuperValu first opened I just called in to avail of their special offers, but now I am drawn more and more to this supermarket to do much more grocery shopping. Why? because it is a beautifully laid out store, kept impeccably clean always, with really friendly, helpful and happy staff but I would especially pick out Daniel who serves at the fresh meat counter — he has a constant smile on his face and is so nice and helpful he would just brighten up your day! This supermarket reminds me somewhat of the old Superquinn in Lucan where I used to shop, as they appear to have the same ethos in terms of lovely fresh bakery, excellent quality fruit and vegetables, a really good butchers and deli section not to mention the beer and wine selection at the off-licence. They have a wonderful steak and wine sale at the moment and I would highly recommend stacking up on some good steaks for the freezer. Very easy to park with tons of spaces just outside the main door, plus they have great opening hours — I think they open from about 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 pm. most days. I am not giving them the full five star treatment yet as I think some of their prices for more general household and grocery items are still a little more expensive than Aldi
