This place has really gone downhill since opening. I used to be a regular customer and always loved the Fried Panang Curry but the last few times I’ve had it, it’s been bland and tasteless and totally lacking the chilli punch it promises. Plus there tends to be a long wait for takeaways at weekends. It’s a shame because it was lovely to have a good take away on my doorstep, while it lasted.

Tried this place on the recommendation of a work colleague. Disappointed; got a noodle takeaway which was mush, tasted like a chicken stock cube was run through it. Haven’t gone back.

Have had a few dishes here over last few weeks, food is delicious, they were all delivered and still hot when food arrived. Limited menu so u could go through the menu quickly if ordering every week. Red green and yellow curries are very good and if dishes r not spicy enough for you they will spice them up for u. Best Asian in the clontarf and raheny area

This place used to be a solid 4 stars but recently I’ve had a couple of bad experiences. Food arriving cold, poor quality meat(chewy stringy beef really ruins an otherwise good curry or stir-fry). Might be that the quality is better if you’re eating in but as a take out I think I’ll be looking elsewhere from now on.

Rarely disappointed. Fresh filling food. Staff are incredibly friendly to deal with. It’s very expensive for a take away but you don’t find yourself feeling bloated and ill like some Asian take-aways. The satay sauce for the chicken skewers is addictive! I see that some have said the Pad Thai has gone bland and I agree but I tried one of their fried rice dishes this evening and it was sha-mazing!!!

Really really disappointed with my meal tonight. These guys have gone seriously down hill. I loved Kanoodle when it opened! I mean, I’d be in there atleast once a week. Everything so so fresh and tasty! However my last 2 experiences haven’t been great! I cut them some slack last time(about a month ago) and said I’d give them another shot tonight. Nothing’s changed. I ordered a pad Thai and it was just so bland. My former favourite dish isn’t what it used to be. The amount of meat was disgraceful. For a dish costing 10.50 I’d hope to get a little more than 3 prawns and 4 slices of chicken! To make matters worse, the wedge of lime that came on top was nowhere near fresh and it’s juice was all over the noodles. I also had to wait over an hour for my food. I really hope the lads can turn this place back around. I used to adore it!

We ordered take-away from Kanoodle last night and placed quite a large order for 8 people. The food was ready for collection within a half an hour and was piping hot. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, the Pad Thai and Singapore Noodles being the most popular. The portions were huge and had plenty of meat and veg packed in. It may be slightly more expensive that other noodle places but you can tell the food is freshly prepared.

Great pad Thai and prawn crackers! I’ve only ever gotten takeaway but noticed they had seats outside during the warmer weather. Friendly service and healthy takeaway option

Very bad food. An Irish hipster take on Asian food. Like the overpriced noodles you’d buy from a van at a music festival. I immediately got diarrhoea and stomach cramps after eating too. Both myself and the person I ate with felt unwell afterwards.

Ordered Pad Krapow with chicken. Spicy, lovely veg, lovely chicken. Place is a basic décor-wise, so would suggest a take out. Although, it’s a nice location, right across from the Wooden Bridge that leads to Dollymount Strand. We sat outside, which was pretty good as it was a nice evening. Sun goes down behind the buildings from 7pm on though, sad face

I really thoroughly enjoyed the food I had here. I ordered a pad thai which had plenty of meat in it & prawns that were just so fresh… Delicious. My fiancé had a yellow curry. Little more creamy than I like my food but very tasty & he loved it. The thai crackers on each table were super fresh & crunchy. It’s VERY reasonably priced, with our 2 mains & a bottle of wine costing less that € 35(yes you read that right folks). We had our food inside & then took our wine outside to look at the sea view where the lovely people at Kanoodle had been so thoughtful as to provide blankets for anyone who wished to sit there. They also had two bowls of water for their animal loving customers that may have been walking their dogs when they stopped in. I’m not honestly sure why i’m not giving this place 5 stars, but something in my gut just wont allow it. I will however say that it’s an excellent 4 star spot! Defo worth a visit.

The pad Thai is doable. But the drunken noodle(pad kee Mao) does not have the wider flat noodles. Same noodles as pad Thai. And the flavors are not there with a sweet tangy fish flavor. I asked for on the side. Other than that it’s just hot’. The chicken satay with its side sauce is very nice. 4 euro wine. Or 9 euro for a bottle. Small area to eat in. 3 tables and counter space to fit around 14 people. Place is clean and modern. I would like to try again. But I have hadore authentic. However. Still nice and fresh.

Eaten here a lot of times and have always been delighted. As I generally cycle instead of drive this place is ideal with a pleasant and convenient location on the coast. The prices are very fair for the quality of food and size of portions. Every time I have eaten here I would be full to the perfect extent, and would especially recommend the rice dishes, as you get enough food to fill two bowls! You could comfortably eat a meal’s worth and save the rest for later. Staff are pleasant and food is generally served quickly. Above all, the food is delicious. Extremely fresh and well balanced, with very high quality ingredients. At this stage I have tried a lot of what’s on the menu and can say I have never been disappointed.

I visited here on Friday and although i have driven past a few times i finally went in. One of the reasons for not going in before is the lack of parking around the restaurant so i had to park about 500 metres away outside someone’s house. The menu is not extensive and the restaurant is not huge as it seems mainly to serve takeaway and collections. But i was happy enough with what was on the menu and i ordered an old favourite; Pad Thai. It came in a take away container with a slice of lime, some chopsticks and a bowl in case i wanted to pour it into the bowl. I sat at the counter where i was able to watch the chef at work which in some ways was good, others bad. The good was that i could see that all the food is cooked fresh and to order with your name on the order instead of a table number but the bad was making awkward eye contact with the chef and also having to listen to him banging the bin closed! The food itself was very good, the portion was more than my hungry tummy could take and i was able to use the container to take the rest of it away. Cooked to perfection, the noodles were delicious and the sweet scallion and egg and nut mix with the right amount of spice. There was actually too much chicken and about 4 good sized prawns but having too much of something should’nt be something to complain about. The only wee niggle for me was that although the restaurant was not overly busy they seemed to take a while to take my order but maybe that was because they had only 2 serving staff and a lot of take away orders going on. The highlight is that they had a lunchtime special of 25% off so that was a nice surprise for me!

Matt Spalding was a visionary when he set up Pad Thai, way back in the early ‘90s. It was the first Thai restaurant in Dublin and since then there have been many more but few equals. Since then, Matt has put in time with the Diep group and also set up Pad Thai@Shine on Wexford St. His latest challenge is Kanoodle on the Clontarf Road, a tiny noodle house with a big menu, plenty of value and bags of flavour. I ventured out there on Friday afternoon, taking advantage of the 25% lunchtime discount that extends to 4pm. My party included my daughter, Holly, her boyfriend, Kyle and their son and my grandson, Brody and we were hungry. We began our meal with Thai buffalo wings and sweet chilli sauce, followed by the Kanoodle Selection Platter of Vegetable Spring Rolls, Ribs, Thai Chicken Satay, Fish Cakes and Prawn Rolls and served with Sweet Chilli and Peanut Dipping Sauces. Then Holly chose Singapore Noodles, Sliced Irish Chicken, Beef and Prawns in a Singapore Sauce with Egg Noodles, Red Chilli, Crispy Garlic and all the Vegetables they can squeeze into the pail! Kyle opted for Drunkards Noodles, Flat Rice Noodles with Spicy Beef, Cherry Tomatoes, Thai Red Chilli, Onion, Fine Beans, Asian Greens and Sweet Basil while Brody got the Kid Kanoodle plate of chicken and noodles with no ‘icky’ veg. I had Khao Pad Krapow, Northern Thai Fried Rice with Sweet Basil, Red Chillies, Onion, Fine Beans and Sliced Sweet Leeks. Served with either: Chicken, Duck, Beef, Prawn or as a Vegetarian Option with Savoury Fried Tofu and Vegetables. I opted for a combination of all of the above for which € 1.50 is added to the total. All that, a bottle of spring water, a can of 7Up and a half bottle of house red, and there was change from € 50. Seriously good value for seriously good food. The only caveat was they need to replace their baby seat, as Matt found out when he tried to secure it.

This is the newly established noodle-bar that has moved into Café Corvo’s premises. It is far overpriced to justify its location compared to the noodle-bars in town. Most wok-fried noodles are all at least 11 euros ! compared to 4 euros for a portion in town. The noodles are freshly prepared and is a good variety but their prices are just insane. It would be more economical to offer a half portion of noodles at half the price because every time I order a portion from here I cannot finish it. The portions are Jurassic ! The service is adequate at best, Staff-Members demand your name when they take your order and wont listen to what you have to say until you give them your name. There is no free delivery, even with their prices, so collection is advised. Mon-Wed they offer all of the wok-fried noodles at 8 euros which is a bit cheaper but still far overpriced. Honestly it would be interesting to see if this place survives in Clontarf. They arent even open late hours .When it first opened there was a big response from the locals but in my opinion they’d want to start lowering their prices or at least stay open a bit longer into the night.
