Visited Parnell’s GAA Club the last time I visited Ireland. My mother and my sisters had all been raving about the place. It’s said the place is owned by someone who plays for the Dublin football team, I think! Upstairs in the sports club they have a bar and restaurant. You don’t have to be a member of the club to use them. Just sign in at the reception desk and go upstairs to the restaurant and bar. The place has a tasteful and contemporary décor. Friendly and welcoming staff. But here’s where the place excels and just what it was my family were raving about — the food. The menu range is excellent and food is prepared to high standard. And that’s the real winning point here. For the standard of food you get it’s excellent value for money. I had oven baked hake with a mustard and herb crust. Being totally honest, it’s the best fish dish I’ve ever had. Deliciousness beyond words. I’m hoping next time I go home to Ireland they take me here again!
