I have to like this place it sports my family name! Even if it didn’t though, this place is as close to Cheers as I’ve seen so far in Ireland. I was a regular after about 20 minutes and Tony the barkeep has been a gracious host providing great suggestions for what to do and where to go. The other truly great party of today was meeting Michael, the«prime minister», who started working here in 1933. Just a class gentleman. It’s not modern and you’re not likely to find the«see and be seen» set, buy if you are looking for a friendly local place, you couldn’t do much better.
