This diminutive train station serves Cork quite well. The location on the east side of the city centre area was convenient for us as it was quite walkable from town. The brick façade was actually rather nice and I found the waiting room to be well kept and pleasant. There was a coffee shop and a food shop available as well as washrooms(though my wife found out that the Ladies’ Room was reached via the outside). We used this station not only to get a train to Dublin but also for a commuter train we used for a day trip to Cobh. We were generally favorably impressed with the facility.
