Excellent cocktails at Lost Weekend(f.k.a Long Island, but management remains the same). The place has had a face lift inside since I’ve been here last and its nice. A bit rustic, but it still has the chic of a cocktail bar. The standard of cocktails hasn’t changed, they still taste as good as I had remembered. Of course this is not surprising, Shane the manager is an excellent maker of cocktails. He’s represented his country at it! We had a sharing cocktail called The Volcano, which is lit before serving — its put out then too. It was epic! Tasted great too… must be the 60% rum… hehehe.

The best cocktail bar in Cork City, without question. It is very overpriced probably because of this and the service is very slow. Come in here for a coctail or two but don’t make a night of it. You will be paying through the nose for a cocktail you have to wait 20 mins for.

Easily the finest cocktail bar in the Rebel County with Mr. Xavier Bravo behind it’s stick who represented Ireland in India for the Deageo World Class cocktail competition this year and who has also had Andy Ferrerra, member of the Irish 42below Vodka Cocktail world cup team muddling mojitos behind the bar. Service is friendly and professional(these guys know their stuff, even when a busload of Dublin cocktail bartenders show up). One point of interest while you’re here, ask for an absinthe the old fashioned way to see them use the antique absinthe fountain. One is the limit though! A must on any trip to Cork!

I enjoy this bar. It’s classy, upscale and fun. But, it’s not exactly the type of bar you can go to all the time. My girlfriends and I make a night out of having cocktails there every few months, but that’s it. The drinks are great, love the variety. The bartenders are friendly too. Love the atmosphere. Just a bit pricey and fancy to enjoy on a weekly basis. But, maybe that’s just me.

Th Long island is an awesome pub to hang out with a group. The cocktails are really nice even if they are a bit expensive. The only thing is it has turned into a hipster bar, including music with 1 repeated beat(even when the DJ is on). it is nice and big with a nice smoking area/alley out the back. If you can block out the terrible 1 beat song then you will have a great time here!

Def the best cocktails in cork, with the option of top shelf! And servers that know how to make one… But the bar itself sucks… Unless you like the chrome fantastic! More of a grunge indie person myself so this can’t get better than 3 stars… However if dance music and posing is your scene… Enjoy…

A lot of the things I don’t like about the Long Island are pretty redundant. I could give out about the terrible electro music, or the way the place is lit like the inside of a disco-ball. But it is a cocktail bar, so what do you expect? Fish have to swim, these bars have to be obnoxious. And it’s as good as it is obnoxious. The menu is extensive and delicious. You’ll have to give yourself plenty of time to order, just because there’s so much there. I recommend either the Bramble, or the Berry Caipiroska. There’s plenty of contemporary cocktails that I’m just never going to order. I’ll never be able to look another person in the eye and ask them to pour me a «You F### My Wife?». The service whenever I’ve been here has been uniformly excellent. The staff are really into what they do, and are friendly to boot. Even when the bar is really packed, and the orders are piling up, they take their time and make sure your drink is just so, before sending it out.

I love the Long Island because it ticks all the boxes. It’s comfortable and has loads of seating. It’s great to go in early and have a quiet drink or go in late and join in the club like atmosphere whipped up by the dj’s. The drinks are amazing and the cocktail menu is extensive with lots to choose from. They are also good value for money. The staff are friendly and are glad to help you with any questions with the menu. They have a heated smoking area out the back with more seats and tables making it the perfect spot for the summer. Highly recommended!

Cork’s very best cocktail bar, with a huge selection to begin with, all made by professional staff who know what they’re doing. I love the caipiroska here, a brazilian drink with a vodka twist. But the menus is extensive and there’s something for everyone, even beer! The atmosphere is friendly, as are the staff — so friendly in fact that my friend had a cocktail named after her by the staff — try a Northern Angel. It’s delicious!
