Love the Pav. Great venue for day and night time!
And now bonus points! — they’re serving food! Even before they served food, they were always cool about you bringing in food you bought elsewhere they often encouraged it, bring your food and enjoy drinks here!
What delicious food they have too. Today I had wedges and sausage bap with chips and salad, all for a wonderful 7 euro. The presentation was lovely, didn’t have to wait too long either, I chatted to my friend and availed of the free wifi while waiting for my lunch! My friend ordered the burger which looked tasty too!
The Pav (upstairs) is a beautiful intimate venue for gigs and night events. Just the right size!
Downstairs is spacious, the walls are often adorned with unusual art and photos, which change frequently as exhibitions change.
Be it for coffee, lunch or a night out — It’s a great choice anytime of the day!

Great place for a simple Irish meal!
While perusing the alleyways of Cork for a traditional, Irish meal (very American of me, I know), I stumbled across The Pavilion. It was pretty quiet inside, but had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The expansive downstairs bar is complemented by numerous tables that are set with all sorts of different, funky chairs, which fill the expansive dining room. For lunch, I had the Bangers & Mash, along with a cold Carlsberg; my partner had the Irish Stew, with a stereotypical Guinness. The staff were very helpful, and nice to chat with. Overall great experience; I will definitely be going back to check out the night scene and more of The Pavilion!

A very cool bar. It might be a little too cool for Cork though.
The bar downstairs does everything right, but it’s been pretty quiet the few times I’ve been there. The music was great, all soul, R&B and hip-​hop, the bar fully-​stocked and the service is quick. You’d think people would flock to the place, and yet it was practically empty.
The upstairs is a great place for a gig though. Very cool décor, and good use of the space. You won’t be wasting your money if you get a ticket and have to stand at the back. Plus, the people at the Pavilion book some great acts.

This is a lovely venue for going to see bands they’ve had a great line up recently and I’ve been to see bands from all over the world such as Crooked Fiddle Band from New Zealand. They pick class acts, the upstairs part is beautiful very impressive. The staff are very helpful, I was going to stay with a friend that night, so I had a big hold all with me. They very kindly offered to put it in a safe place for me until the gig was over. Big thumbs up from me :)
